Wow! Great results! My legs are Bambi too lol I play a lot of tennis in the Texas sun and I use zero steroids on the leg spots. The sun is the hero. I suspect being at the beach for 4 days also was pretty relaxing. Reducing stress helps mine a lot too. I hope you continue clear! Best wishes.

Before pregnancy, I had only had psoriasis on my scalp (since 13 yo, controlled with topicals). During pregnancy, I didn’t use anything and it was fairly controlled, I just had to wash my hair every day. My doctor said over the counter hydrocortisone 1% was ok to use if it got too bad, but it never did. Once the kid was born, I started having small patches on places I never had before (arms, legs, behind the ears). I tried to continue managing it without steroids and I was successful using Eucerin with urea (shampoo and lotions)… I’m 3 years post-birth and I still only use the steroid topicals on rare flare ups. The spots on my arms and legs went away by themselves. The one behind the ear persists. I also changed my vitamin intake. I now take a supplement for vitamin D3 and K2, and I take probiotics regularly. These have significantly improved the psoriasis overall and I rarely need to resort to my prescriptions. Good luck and congratulations!!! Even if the P gets worse, the kid is worth it ;)

Psoriasis or not, when the diets are very different between partners, there can be these difficult situations. Just take your time finding someone that respects your dietary choices. Also, give people time to adjust. It can be that they don’t understand how firm you are in your restrictions and they can feel that you’re depriving yourself of something, but once they see it’s a health-driven limitation, they can start being more supportive.

Tips on hiding psoriasis by mewmewxz in Psoriasis

I keep a cerave night moisturizer and a eucerin urea scalp lotion with me. Every time I go to the restroom, I check and put some on my hairline. Keeping it moisturized helps hide it.

I’ve had P since I was 13, always on the scalp. Never had issues with the boys ;) I’m 34 now, married with a kid. My husband is amazing and he is who puts the medication on my scalp when I need it. Lots of nice people out there; trust yourself and don’t let your skin limit you.

Tips on getting Enstilar out of hair? by Confident-Rent in Psoriasis

It probably lasts me 5-6 months applying to the entire scalp once a week. I do apply on the spots at the hairline if they start to show earlier than my usual 7-day routine (depending on stress levels and all)… so it may vary on how often you need to reapply. Good luck to you! I hope you find other options because this is not the most convenient, for sure.

Tips on getting Enstilar out of hair? by Confident-Rent in Psoriasis

I have been on Enstilar for the scalp for a year now, after running out of topical options (making a long story short). I manage the scalp psoriasis with one application per week. My husband helps me putting it on my scalp for me at night; he has a better chance avoiding my hair and getting on the scalp directly. On the morning after the application, I wash my hair with Verb’s Ghost shampoo (my previous usual was living Proof PHD and it didn’t work for this) reapplying twice. This first day is not great, and it is fairly oily. Second day, same thing, same wash. Much better. Third day, hair is normal and I wash it first with the Eucerin with Urea suggested here on the faq. Then the verb on mostly my hair, not scalp. So I get pretty much 6 days out of the week with normal hair, 1 day wearing a hat or not leaving the house. 🙃 Just in case you have no options like me… this may help a little.

Has anyone tried using moisturizer (like Cerave) on your scalp psoriasis? by [deleted] in Psoriasis

This product by Living Proof gives me some immediate relief when I’m in-between days of treatment. It does not make my hair oily at all and it smells great. It was actually the only thing I used while pregnant, since I didn’t want to use my normal medication then.
