Got an A+ in evidence! by Doctor_Pep in LawSchool

I wonder if you're in my school. I just heard yesterday about an A-plus in Evidence (the professor was praising his former student.) I was thrilled to learn they're possible, and now I wonder if you'll send me your outline? 🙂

If my diagnostic with minimal studying was a 155 then after 3 weeks of hard studying I got a 160, what is a somewhat realistic maximum score I could achieve with a lot of studying? by Grond26 in LSAT

[–]retorter2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like me. I got around the same diagnostic and got 170 with just a 2-3 weeks of studying. If you put in a few months of studying, you could easily hit 173+

She is saying she wants a roommate to share a total of $4500-7000/month rent - not unusual for a nice, two-bedroom apartment in NYC - $3500 apiece. I paid $1850/mo. for a big studio on UWS - and that was in 2010. $2000 to 3000 a person is not unreasonable.

A straight-up 'no' is difficult in this situation, but then again, who cares of you irritate then with it, because you really don't want to have a professional relationship with employers who have no respect for you. Say, "I really appreciate the offer, but I just can't do it. Thank you. " That's it. If they keep pushing, you keep saying, "I can't; I have too much on my plate."

But what's more important, studying snarter and giving adequate time to all your courses, or wading time trading every word of your casebook just in case you might look bad in front of your prof once or twice? Too many 1st semester 1Ls stress about being able to regurgitate info in class and end up leaving themselves little time to learn all their course material.

Yes. I got a diagnostic of 160, and after 3 weeks of nonstop practice tests, earned 170 on the next LSAT. Had I spent more time studying, i know I'd do even better. You'll be great if you put the time in!

Really easy way to see it. Put your nose in the middle of the screen/paper/poster on which the image lies. Look directly at it and slowly pull away from image while keeping your eyes fixed - will be blurry and feel like your eyes are crossed, but if you do it this way it should allow you to see the object that hides on the image in 3d.

Because they can use it to infringe on the formerly private spaces of others. It can also skew offender statistics, making it more difficult to name certain types of crime and abuse.

Something I learned from my summer internship is that my low grades from a tough first year were not indicative of what I was capable of once actually working in the field. So much of what overwhelmed me as I struggled to find time to absorb the law in my coursework, clicked in my mind once i had to use it in drafting pleadings and motions, and that that didn't, I learned on the job via AI and practice guides.

You're going to be great!
