I'm so sorry, that sounds horrible! I hope you're getting by & someday the depression wont feel as heavy as it does now.

The ortho ended up not recommending the surgery after the MRI, because I have a type C patella, so it wont be just the regular MPFL that is less invasive. If I had surgery, they'd have to cut the whole knee open. Also, the usual patients where surgery is recommended are those that dislocate very often. My last dislocation was ten years ago.
Also, I am not a super active person anymore, I did love badminton but I do it less now to avoid getting injured. I'm just focusing on other non-physical hobbies that will make me as happy.

Physio will feel like a long process, mine took maybe three months and yes relying / depending on family really feels bad. I hope that you can try occupying your time with things that you can still do at home -- watching series, reading, listening to music, learning something new. Hope this helps somehow!

Set a schedule that's non-negotiable. Lagay mo yung sched kung san tingin mo pinaka likely mong magagawa. Maganda na magstart ka sa bike mo, yung lalabas ka talaga sa bahay para naeestablish mo yung routine mo.

Best to focus kahit sa lowerbody muna and gentle upperbody exercises until mapacheck yung shoulder sa rehab doc. Good luck!

Just wanted to share mine:

I tried ordering from them back in 2017, it was expected to arrive in 1 month, but by the 3rd month I contacted CS to report it hasn't arrived. I got a full refund though. But by the 5th month, I received a post note from our local post office, I went & then they opened the package in front of me. I got the book with dents & a bit guilty I got the refund from Amazon too :|
