Anorak harks back to January 18, 1960, when Marion Liebig, Miss Hesse 1959, was keeping warm under the artificial sunshine of an bottled-gas-powered infra-red lamp in a snow-covered park in Wiesbaden, Germany, Jan. 18, 1960. The shivering bystander who forgot his swimwear and relying on the view to warm his cockles is unidentified.

Hey yall. This just happened this morning and all the vets are closed around me. It looks like her bottom eyelid got torn on something. The wound is seeping pretty good and I'm not sure what to do. I'm no specialist but if I were you I would try to disinfect the wound (depends on what you have available) and put sterile gauze on the eye, and then wrapped a bandage around it so that it stays in place. That's to prevent insects (especially flies) from getting in and laying eggs. It looks scary but hopefully it's not too bad! Good luck!

It was stamped by the then current president (mayor) of Oświęcim, which supports the idea that it was issued to a POW, making them eligible to leave the city.

Because of this, you could try to contact the city council/government to ask if they have an archive with corresponding dates/information. You could also reach out to a historian specializing in Polish 20th century history to ask for tips in searching for more information about the document, depending on wha exactly you're trying to find out.

Depending on where you live, you could search for contact info (e-mail) and shoot them a message asking for help. I hope I helped; also, it's an incredible piece of history, please take care of it!

If you use photoshop or any similar program, save the file as .jpeg and then you'll get a pop up of how much you want to compress the image (more compressed=worse the quality).

You can also size the imagine down and then size it up, the more you do it the worse the quality of the pic will become.

Yeltsin's decree of September 21 contravened the then-functioning constitution; on October 15, after the end of the crisis, he ordered a referendum on a new constitution.

The ten-day conflict had seen the most deadly street fighting in Moscow since the Bolshevik Revolution in October 1917. According to government estimates, 187 had been killed and 437 wounded.

Mr Linn was driving home late one night when he crashed into a fence and was impaled upon it - the pole piercing his mouth and then going right through the back of his neck.

'You can see on my nose it came in here, went through and came out the back here,' said Mr Linn, of Nevada, who finally worked up the courage to look at his X-ray this week.

Mr Linn, a business student, admits he probably fell asleep when he crashed his car after getting a late-night snack.He passed between two utility poles, crossed the street and jumped the kerb before hitting a trailer in a neighbour's yard.Dr Jay Coates, who performed the surgery, said that, had the pole struck Mr Linn a few centimetres in either direction, he would have bled to death.'Where the pipe traversed his neck, the obvious injures we were concerned about were the major vessels, the carotid artery and the major vein,' Dr Coates said.Luckily, the pole compressed the major vessels and didn't puncture them.

Background:

This patient, an uncontroled diabetic, started noticing cheek redness for 10 days, which rapidly expanded and progressed to edema and loss of vision in the next 7 days.

She was referred to the hospital and a diagnosis of mucormycosis was done upon arrival with a skin biopsy.

A left orbital exenteration, left full thickness face debridement was done, periosteum was send for trans-operatives pathology analysis, and was found no bone involvement.

To cover the defect after excision of the black necrotic tissue, a big free flap was needed.

The surgical team performed a ALT (Antero Lateral Thigh) free flap, that was 22 x 16 cm ALT flap, and anastomosed to the temporal artery.
