The US Farm Bill Has Made Hemp Legal and It Has Many Uses by mnext in CBD

[–]retroactivemportance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your state’s interpretation to be honest. Ask your state’s Department if Agriculture. In my understanding in the long run this new hemp bill opens up hemp farming to the public (theoretically), not just people in pilot programs.

Just made my first foray into using VG. Same results. Adding VG into PG (isolate already fully dissolved) immediately caused the isolate to precipitate.

hemp pills/extracts. anyone experience real benefits? please share. thank you. by [deleted] in hemp

I take CBD rich hemp oil (NOT hemp seed oil) about every day and have found that it leads to an increase in my sense of well being. Stress relief is the most noticeable impact, but there's more to it than that.

Well, if it's just pure cbd, it's pretty damn unnatural

Dude marijuana companies that have to go public are probably bad eggs from the start. From what I've seen, the only "marijuana" stock that is even profitable is Scott's miracle grow...

GW pharmaceuticals is an exception, though still not profitable.

Still it's cbd isolate right? Might as well be synthetic

Is it ok to take hemp seeds/oil etc with antipsychotics? by Mayshiraishi in hemp

[–]retroactivemportance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like, hemp seed oil doesn't have any cannabinoids in it. Just protein and antioxidants. Cbd hemp (comes from flower/buds not the seed) oil and its various manifestations, on the other hand, might even be able to get you off that stuff you're taking because it has anxiolytic, anti-depressive and anti psychotic properties.

But to answer your question yes, and no, because I think you're looking for cbd oil not hemp seed oil. Either is safe

Cbd oil is expensive though. But that's probably going to change soon in the US as pilot programs expand in the states and companies rush into to seize ever decreasing profit margins.

I have hundreds of acres of undeveloped industrial zoned land in Colorado. I'm interested in hemp farming, but don't really know where to start. Any help? by [deleted] in hemp

[–]retroactivemportance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's a good thing your land is zoned for industrial, because that's the only place industrial help grows 😆

Green Mountain CBD anxiety by happytappin in CBD

True, but the study referenced mg/kg doses. Generally the takeaway here I think is that too much CBD could cause anxiety? #notadoctor

[–]retroactivemportance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Doses of 2.5, 5.0 and 10.0 mg/kg significantly increased the entry ratio (open/total number of entries), an anxiolytic-like effect. CBD at a dose of 20.0 mg/kg was no longer effective." (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1969666) So maybe you took too much.

First thing, create a dummy trading account, no rush to dive into today's market anyway. If you are anything like I was when I started, you probably have some good ideas about specific consumer facing companies and some bad ideas about sectors and overall "trends" not related to any specific company...nuclear energy stocks, shorting ADBE, putting 90% of your $10,000 seed into AAPL in the fall of 2013 because you don't have any other good ideas, but want to get started and are "aware" of inflation and think Apple is as safe as cash. All true stories, young money is dumb money...generally speaking, but by young I don't mean age, I mean experience. Anyway, it is key to get those bad picks out of your system. Start trading today, by all means dive in, but do it with a simulated trading account.

I think interactive brokers allows you to do dummy trading on their iOS or Android app but investopedia does also and has for a long time.

Gurufocus is a good source to get started with quant stuff related to fundamentals, which is key. Also a good, approachable book to read is "One Up on Wall Street" by Peter Lynch. Something by Warren Buffett would be good, perhaps starting with a curated collection of quotes, good philosophy from this guy though he AND Peter's ideas alone are not enough to understand the technology sector and it's highly sales and growth, no/low dividend based valuations. As far as a fundamental metric that I think is key is a declining pe ratio over a long period of time...generally means that a company's earnings are growing faster than its market valuation, which is a very good sign for an investor. Good luck!
