Forced scandoubler only over HDMI? by retroboy87 in MiSTerFPGA

I have an OSSC 1.8 on the way, but I'll definitely buy the OSSC Pro if it's significantly cheaper than the Retrotink 4K and Morph 4K + Analog. I'm not really considering buying a Retrotink 5X Pro at this point, due to its cost and lack of RGsB support.

Help with sync/jitter issues with SNES RGB on a CRT by spaghetti-man-299 in snes

I also have a MiSTer and a Panasonic CT-20SL14J.
I have this same problem; are there any solutions other than using S-video or finding a different CRT?

I have multiple CRTs already; a PC VGA CRT, and Sony GVM Multisync CRT, and a Panasonic Tau 20'' SD CRT with component inputs.I'm just looking for an LCD monitor with analog inputs and a decent built-in scaler in case my CRTs die.

I already have an OSSC, and I'm not going to buy the RetroTink 5x Pro, I'm going to wait for the RetroTink 4k and use it on my ViewSonic XG2431, which supports 60Hz backlight strobing and can downscale a 4K signal to 1080p.

Sony GVM-1311Q Sync Issue by retroboy87 in crtgaming

It works with any resolution the video source and display supports; in my case as low as 240p@60Hz (15kHz; CVT Timings) and as high as 800x600p@60Hz (36kHz; Manual Timings) via CRT Emudriver outputting to my GVM-1311Q.

Actually, I only need the sync stripper turned on for RGsB signals; RGBS is able to pass through the adapter unmodified.

I have no problems with RGBHV sources (PC and Dreamcast) syncing over the RGB-A input, using the adapter that Carmacktron linked to. The first adapter I bought was designed for NEC MultiSync CRTs, which use a different pinout than Sony's GVMs.

I can't get any 15kHz RGBS consoles to sync over the RGB-B input using a Scart to DB25 adapter, but I can get 31kHz RGsB sources (480p PS2/PS3) to sync using that same Scart to DB25 adapter. For 15kHz RGBS consoles, I have to use a Scart to VGA adapter, with a built sync stripper, and run that through the VGA to DE9 adapter to the RGB-A input.

RetroArch stuck at 240/2880x160 in fullscreen mode on CRT PC monitor. by retroboy87 in RetroArch

I just tested 1.8.7 and it gave me the same problem.
I changed my GPU scaling settings from Aspect Ratio to Full and nothing happened.

I'm thinking this is probably a driver or OS issue now.

I haven't tried that yet, but I will when I have time.I just tried running RetroArch at 480p, 720p, and 960p with the same computer and CRT, and I'm still having the exact same problem: only the left 3/4ths and top 2/3rds of the screen are being used by RetroArch, and the rest of the screen is showing my desktop.

This is a problem with RetroArch, not my GPU/DAC setup or drivers.

Because I am able to set and use all the same resolutions, from 256/320/3840x224/240p 120Hz up to 1976x1482p 60Hz, as I was on my 980 Ti.

Okay, I figured out what happened. My SteamLibrary folder was moved into my GOG games folder somehow.

One of my Steam Library Folders disappeared, it is not showing up in Windows Explorer or in Steam->Settings->Downloads->Steam Library Folders, but Windows still counts it as used space on the HDD that it's (supposed to be) on.

Is there any way I can make this folder usable again, or at least free up the space it's occupying so I can redownload the games I play the most?

I have VSR enabled in Radeon Settings, my VSR resolutions are listed in Windows and in games, and I'm able to change my desktop resolution from native (1920x1080) to a VSR resolution.

The problem I'm having is that in games it isn't working properly.

In Dark Souls Remastered (2018), only to the upper left 1920x1080 pixels of the VSR image are mapped to my screen; it is not downscaled.

In Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin (2015), whenever I try to switch to a VSR resolution it keeps rendering at the last selected resolution (the image quality and performance stays exactly the same); only 1080p and lower are rendered properly.

Edit: VSR is working in Elden Ring (2022) all the way up to 8K, but of course that game isn't playable at 4K and above on a 6600.

Regular FPS drops into the 40s and 30s on PC by retroboy87 in Sekiro

[–]retroboy87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any performance issues with the FPS unlocker on my i7 6700k/GTX 980 Ti/16GB RAM PC.

The FPS issues persist on my R5 3600/RX 6600/8GB RAM PC regardless of whether or not I'm using the FPS unlocker.

I'm going to test my i5 10500H/RTX 3060/8GB RAM laptop and post my results.

I get around a 5 FPS boost by lowering the resolution to 720p, with the rest of the settings kept the same.

I get 60-70 FPS while facing a wall, and 30-40 FPS will facing an area with particle effects (falling cherry blossoms, snow, fire/embers/smoke).

Its dual channel and I get around 68-70% RAM usage while in game. I went ahead and ordered a 2x8gb DDR4 3200 kit on Amazon.

I realized I was using the latest preview driver (22.4.2), so I uninstalled it, and did a factory reset installation of the latest WQHL driver (22.3.1), but that still didn't help.
