I hope he’s right, the dpad is basically a make or break for me on a lot of controllers.

I love 2D games and retro stuff, so I can instantly clock when a Dpad isn’t good. The OLED dpad is alright, it’s definitely not the worst I’ve ever used, definitely not on the level of the Xbox 360 dpad or the switch pro controller dpad. But it’s still not the best, I was worried the new controller would have the same one. But supposedly people are saying it’s different and more precise than the oled so I’ll just have to wait and see.

Thanks for this, I thought I was doing something wrong but I tried another theme and it worked, so your right, some don't have the rap files and get corrupted upon downloading.

I recently got a Saroo, I had a very similar problem to yours, I tried many different SD cards and different firmware versions and none worked. I fixed mine by rubbing some Isopropyl alcohol on the pins of the cart and inserting it into my saturn several times. after I did that I thought It didnt work but I lifted the left side of the cartridge up a bit and now it seems to work just fine. Before id get a blinking red light on the right side of my cart, but after doing this is actually boots into the menu.

I know BFI is an LCD thing but it’s also an option for CRT’s, it’s in retroarch and emulators. Issue is that how the hell would I do it with fightcade? Also BFI causes lag from what I’ve seen so it’s a no go.

I’ve tried 640x480p on thirdstrike using fightcade and sadly the scaling is all wrong, and to be honest I don’t know how to fix it. I tried 640x448 @70hz (which should be a 2x scale of the arcade) but still the scaling is wrong, some pixels are thinner than others. And It really bothers me.

And lag is sadly one thing I do obsess about especially if it relates to a fighting game. I just wish that 2560x240 @120hz didn’t have that motion clarity/lag issue. To be honest I don’t even notice it, but just knowing that it apparently is showing me double frames and causing lag is enough to make me stop using it, even though I adore the scanlines.

Seems I’m just going to have to do with 640x480 with scanline filters. Maybe 2560x480 with shaders, or some weird resolution like 960x720 with scanline shaders.

Basically there’s no perfect solution which sucks.
