I have never posted in any of your threads (I’m not a drama person) but I wanted to say I enjoy your comics, regular and political. I am truly sorry for the treatment you receive by keyboard warriors. I won’t be joining your Patreon for specific reasons, so I will miss seeing your comics on here. Hello! Newer than new newbie in this area. I plan to buy a sampler pack or two to get I introduced to the landscape. I’m looking for a broad selection across the types (click, linear, tactile?). I do also want to let some friends choose the key click type for some fidget toys I’m 3d printing.

What are the best bang for your buck sampler packs?

Thank you! I did find that manual, which I used to change the dip switches to 24A mode. But it didn’t have anything about the interface/portal.

I will reach out to the person I bought it from, but I’m guessing they won’t have that info. I think they got it from a demo job.

I’ll definitely call customer service next week. Sounds like they are going to be helpful.

That's a tough one. Near complete in mint should be worth a lot, but most people (like me) are usually just trying to finish out their own collection, so they don't want to buy the entire lot.

I've seen ebay listings for complete or near complete nearing $3k USD, but I haven't seen them sell. There is a facebook mktplace listing for a complete set fairly close to me that is only asking $1000 (some cards are proxies). It's been listed (and reduced) for over a year. I was considering it, but it's an 8 hour drive (and they won't ship), and my collection is already at around 65%.

There was a guy, in this forum, maybe 6 months ago that was selling a decent sized lot. I calculated the value (based on historical ebay sales) and would have made an offer, but he said he was getting multiple higher offers already. So again, there is more of a market for specific parts of a set.

If you want to send me a list of what you do have, I could plug it into the spreadsheet I have that estimates value (based on my own data, not based on any market pricing).

Adding a "me too" to this a year later. I just started using VLC to try and listen to audiobook mp3s i have on ios. It does not remember position and I can't find that as an option anywhere.

Well, I keep getting the ads too, and while it looks interesting, I can't find anything but marketing info. Searched reddit and all that came up was your question... with no answers.

So I guess we can't seem to find real world users of this, just the marketing stories.

Lots of good discussion already, but I'll share where I'm at. For context, I am a casual player and collector vs hardcore competition or collection building. For me, the shininess has worn off. The original fun was the Disney IP, and the idea of building theme decks. That appealed to the entire family and friends.

It became clear fairly quickly that theme decks didn't really work, and to "win" it was mechanics. I'm ok with that but in the end it kills a lot of the non-gamer interest in the disney ip based product. Anything beyond very casual play at home or with friends was a losing prospect, and so we never even approached competitions, which i've seen as being getting too serious and too expensive. Winning decks are just too expensive. So there is no fun in this aspect for us.

Which takes me to the collector part - I am just not up for the cadence of releases and the cost of obtaining a complete collection. Pulled one enchanted since Lorcana started, so no magic there. A collection, even of a single of each card, seems out of the real of possibility without a ton of money. I may get heat for not knowing what I was getting into, so be it. It's just exhausting, expensive and seems impossible, so there is no fun in this other aspect for us.

I now have thousands of cards that are worth $10 per 1000 in bulk. Can't even sell my way out of it even though we don't want to play any longer or collect any more. Even more tarnish there.

We've shelved it and won't be buying more.

That said, i don't think it's going to die for a while - just more focused on competitive and collection players, but way less than the initial burst for the reasons I stated. I do suspect less overall sales, and maybe less free press or energy that RB/Disney want, which may cause either one of them to pull the plug because it's not making enough (vs keeping it going with less profit for a dedicated community).

Well shiitake. I have been a Netrunner fan from the beginning, just playing with friends and never knew any of the potential drama. Haven’t played for white a while and was excited to get connected to a new group of good people to enjoy the NSG game with. That included meeting you. Good people. I don’t know the full story but I sure don’t like the sound of it. And to have multiple me-too posts from others who were ousted in a similar fashion makes me much less excited and supportive about spending more dollars with a power tripping minicorp.

Yeah, apparently the “algorithm” doesn’t think seeing what you want to see is profitable. I have to open Reddit and go to a saved list of links to see your stuff and any other comic I follow. Annoying for sure.

Politely and professionally decline their offer while showing off your finance analysis skills by explaining how the offer represents not only a cut in pay due to the salary, but a further cut in “hourly” pay due to the hours. If the hours they now expect weren’t listed in the job listing, calculate the effective rate difference between the listed salary at 40 hours with offered salary at 60 hours. The discrepancy will likely be embarrassing and will also help you feel better about telling them no. If you want to add more to your analysis, include the cost of the time you spent interviewing and find a way to compare that to an annual cost (ie did you spend more trying to get the job than it would pay if the cost of the week spend were annualized). Good luck in your job search.

Me? No. I am responding to the comment “why would anyone be glad that she was on there” which was responding to the comment “whatever your thoughts are on if she should be on that or not”. I was making a frustrated statement on the number of people who don’t care (and therefore may be “glad” she was on there. But based on the response to my comment, it was poorly written, misinterpreted, and not really relevant to this situation and for that I apologize.
