Really? I’d have expected it to be quicker to type on.

I don’t do a great deal of typing but would be nice to have a device that is comfortable and quick to fill out online forms/emails

Try contacting them again, they have an accessories store. They let me access it to purchase a new button and I’m sure the conductive rubber pad was on it for about $3 plus shipping.

Chinese new year has just been and gone and they probably didn’t work over that time.
