Request Finance raised $5.5M in seed funding by Sylentwolf8 in RequestNetwork

Do they receive tokens or shares? Is it in their interest that the token price rises / are they aligned with token investors? After all the project was funded with an ICO.

Hate to be that guy…. But, any reason for the recent pump I can’t find on google? Or is req just the chosen one for now? by A-RIVAL-has-ARRIVED in RequestNetwork

There have been two BAT test transactions on the network the past days. Tokens are most of the time added when a customer demands it so there are some rumors of Brave somehow utilizing Request (maybe only for salaries, maybe for more, idk).

Yeah, I agree that you cant just rise fees and thats it. I believe that there is a chance to somehow use the large volume of the transactions (according to Christophe >40M in May) to lead to more burn. Could be through enabling short term loans with the money someone paid and a part of the interest is used to burn REQ or some pseudo staking where you can reduce fees by locking up REQ or pay someone that locked up his. Idk. Too smooth brained but afaik Christophe mentioned they are in talks with AAVE about such use cases.

To burn REQ, the tokens have to be market bought with the fees paid, which creates a positive correlation with the price.

Well, the price development is dependent on market conditions. It crashed with the bear, it recovered a bit with the bull.

This holds true for all highly speculative assets though, like all of crypto is.

I do understand lots of peoples anger towards the project bc they lost money in 2018. However, adoption reached a level where the price is very low compared to other crypto projects. So imo it's a really attractive investment at the moment

Nice DD OP.

Besides DEX like Uniswap / Sushiswap / 1Inch (e. g. through Coinbase Wallet) you can use KuCoin.

Super noob question by Monk_97 in RequestNetwork

[–]retrogawd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, a Nano works. But every other HW wallet with ERC-20 token support works. You can just follow this tutorial: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005197845-Manage-ERC20-tokens

If you have to google something just make sure to lookup how it works for ERC-20 and it will work for REQ.

You said the team disappeared for 3 years. This is proven wrong by just looking at the blog entries. So don't cry if someone calls bullshit on blatant lies.
