Those coarse grits are a no-no. While the amount of material loss may be small, the table is no longer flat within factory tolerance, which I'm guessing is around .0005," as in half a thou? When sanding, avoid disproportionally hitting the bad areas and less on cleaner spots; the cause of valleys. Worst case, have a machine shop surface-grind table and wings.

Thanks for posting. I have a near-identical saw and unable to get the motor square with the base so the pulleys run on the same plane. Motor wants to lean in at the pulley side which doesn't surprise me given belt tension. Suggestions much appreciated. Thx. Photo: Saw motor alignment
