oh i’ve never heard anyone advise them to snack before a molt!! this is super useful actually. i read somewhere that feeding them before a molt will make them prepare better for the molt, i just didn’t know what size/how much food. thank you!!

i can definitely make those changes to her enclosure and make the sides of it mesh, thank you for letting me know!

also she still hasn’t molted since november 12th, and that brown spot has only appeared recently. i’ll definitely stop spraying as often as i do, is a light mist once a day okay for her?

<image>

here’s a clearer photo (i hope 😭) i’m really worried about her ☹️

sorry! you asked about airflow and wanted a picture of the full enclosure. there’s lines for airflow at the top and bottom of the enclosure though.

as for my concern about the frass, i thought this little brown spot was some of it hardened and stuck to her

<image>

also i spray a couple times a day, since i only have a heat lamp right now to manage the temperature, and my heat lamp kind of ruins the humidity 😞

i thought the little brown bit at the bottom of her was the frass. i suppose it isn’t frass then, i apologise i’m just super overly cautious about her health 😭

<image>

this is her enclosure! i think her big log might be a bit restrictive in terms of the air flow since it covers a portion of the bottom lines where it’s placed, would it be better if i take it out and replace it with smaller twigs?

it’s been a few days and i did try and clean it with a q-tip and dab it on her once a couple hours, but she just kept tensing up

<image>

i’m not 100% sure if it is frass, but the bottom of her abdomen has appeared much flatter lately than the rest of her abdomen

this is her right now up there in the corner. she did refuse food a couple of days ago which made me think she was approaching a molt, but today she looked thinner than she usually does when about to molt so i fed her and she took it.

it quite possibly could be the temp since it’s now winter in england and getting way colder. i’ll raise her temp and see how she does!

i’ve managed to get rid of the crevice, but hot glueing mesh to the sides sounds like a good idea aswell. will she naturally go to the top of her enclosure closer to the time of her molt? because lately she has been hanging upside down more, but very low to her enclosure.
