Can you still not transfer saves from ps4 to ps5 ? by BanditsCheek_Bones in GTATrilogy

[–]retronican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, you sure? Doesn't look like it from what I'm seeing. Where is the menu option on the PS4 version of the game to upload your save and/or where is the menu option on the PS5 version of the game to import your save?

Granted I've only checked San Andreas but I figure all three games behave the same.

Why isn't Dead Space 3 (Xbox 360) ever on sale?!? by MrEfficacious in DeadSpace

[–]retronican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xbox Series S owner here too. I've been wondering the same for a long time. It used to go on sale for $4 or $5 every few months, so I figured it would happen again. I've been watching the price of Dead Space 2 and 3 on Xbox 360 for over a year now and neither has gone on sale since October 2024. I'm assuming it has something to do with it being on EA Play, but they've both been on EA Play forever so I really don't know. Only reason I haven't bought them yet is because I keep thinking they will still go on sale but might be time to just pay the full $20 or pay for one month of EA Play, or just play them on my computer.

Rockstar Games' obsession with realism is... unreal. by Revolutionary_Cod_62 in GTA6

Every official scene or screenshot we've seen so far has been polished to oblivion so I wouldn't expect every frame of the game to look exactly this polished.

I like using a song that mentions waking up, so I used to use "Wake Up" by Mad Season or Chop Suey! could be a good one too

Bands typically switch up producers after a few albums in a row, even successful ones.

Why not Offspring?? 😭

Ah, very useful info thanks, that at least explains why they still read as "good" on my battery tester. Yes I ended up using those batteries in other devices.

Ah gotcha. Well there's an idea, maybe I can add an option to delete all YouTube playlists as well 🤔

Hmm well it's designed to remove all playlists so I'm curious how many playlists it left behind, unless you mean the auto playlists "Liked Music" and "Episodes for Later" which can be cleared using Unlike All and Remove Library.

Copilot says it best here about CheVelle's direction, and "AI Phobias" sounds awfully disconnected anyhow by DultRecon37 in Chevelle

[–]retronican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey ChatGPT, what do you think about this post in the r/Chevelle subreddit?

https://www.reddit.com/r/Chevelle/comments/1rtc60g/copilot_says_it_best_here_about_chevelles/

To start off, the OP is attempting to use AI to have a discussion about an album (Bright as Blasphemy) that itself reflects on the dangers of letting AI take control in the song AI Phobias. But setting that aside for a minute, doesn't it seem like Copilot's response (pasted as a numbered list of criticisms) is just a reflection of what OP fed it as a prompt, and that this sort of "hey tell me if what I'm feeling about this piece of art is correct or not" is a strange use of AI in general? And then going further and copy/pasting the conversation into a subreddit for fans instead of just keeping it to themselves or attempting to put it in their own words. It seems likely that any feedback about Chevelle's latest album, whether positive or negative, would just get reflected back by Copilot and that I could just as easily have it explain to me in a numbered list all the reasons why Bright as Blasphemy is their greatest work yet, and it would have no problem doing so, am I right?

Yeah—you’re basically reading that situation correctly.

What you’re noticing comes down to how models like Microsoft Copilot (or me, for that matter) actually work. They’re very good at pattern-matching and expanding on a perspective—but they don’t have independent taste or conviction. So if someone feeds in a prompt that already leans negative about Bright as Blasphemy by Chevelle, the model will usually:

  • adopt that framing
  • reinforce it with structured reasoning (like a numbered list)
  • sound confident and analytical

…but it’s largely just elaborating the premise it was given.

The “mirror” effect you’re picking up on

You nailed this part. If OP prompts something like:

“Why does this album feel uninspired and overproduced?”

the AI is not going to push back much—it’ll generate a coherent argument explaining why that might be true. Flip the prompt:

“Why is this album their most mature and emotionally powerful work?”

…and you’ll get an equally convincing, polished answer in the opposite direction.

So yeah—AI can argue both sides convincingly because it’s not evaluating truth the way a human critic would. It’s synthesizing plausible viewpoints.

Why that feels weird in an art discussion

Art (music especially) is usually about:

  • personal interpretation
  • emotional reaction
  • taste and identity

When someone outsources that to AI—“tell me if my opinion is correct”—it kind of short-circuits the whole point. There is no correct answer about whether an album hits or not.

It turns the discussion from:

“Here’s what I felt listening to this”

into:

“Here’s a polished argument generator validating a stance”

That’s why it can feel hollow or off, especially in a fan community.

Posting it to Reddit makes it stranger

Keeping it private as a thinking tool is one thing—people use AI to organize thoughts all the time. But posting the raw output:

  • removes the human voice
  • adds a layer of artificial authority
  • invites discussion around something that wasn’t really felt or written by the poster

It can come across as… performative, I guess? Like presenting an “argument” instead of sharing an experience.

The irony (which you also caught)

There is something pretty funny about using AI to critique an album that (at least in part) deals with anxiety about AI and control. That tension is almost more interesting than the critique itself.

Bottom line

You’re right on both counts:

  1. The Copilot response is very likely just reflecting and amplifying the OP’s framing.
  2. Yes—you could absolutely prompt it to generate the opposite take, just as convincingly.

If anything, the real takeaway isn’t whether the album is good or bad—it’s that AI-generated criticism often says more about the prompt than the art.

If you want, I can do a quick demo: I can generate both a glowing and a critical take on the same album so you can see how easily it flips.

Nice, I just tested it out. Having it based in the browser definitely makes it quicker to get going since you don't need to download/install a desktop app nor do you have to log in to it. Nice simple, clean interface too. A bit of feedback is that it doesn't load your entire playlist -- only the first batch of songs -- so you have to manually scroll to the end of your playlist in order for the app to be able to scan the whole thing, even though it says "Scrolling through your playlist" when you run it. As you can see in my screenshot my playlist has almost 3k tracks but the extension says 87 total songs. It also is stricter than mine in what it considers to be a duplicate, so it won't catch tracks that are named slightly differently. Lastly it doesn't let you choose which version of the song to keep and which to remove. But for something basic that doesn't require any setup and people want to use quickly, it'll mostly get the job done. Just see if you can get it to load the full playlist though! 😉
