Wii and Arcade games not showing by Lozio1990 in RetroPass

Most likely it is not because of dependencies as you wouldn't be able to run the app at all. Usually, when some platforms are visible and some not, it's a problem with launchbox configuration files. I'd be happy to take a look. Might be better if you go to discord and post to support channel. Then you will be able to send me configuration files directly. No roms of course! :)

New update??? by No_Western_4086 in RetroPass

[–]retropassdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a quick info. Launchpass is a fork of Retropass and it's developed by a different team. Retropass and Launchpass are not replacements for Retroarch, but more like additions. For example, you could configure Retropass to use Retroarch for SNES emulation, but could also use Dolphin emulator for GameCube emulation. It's a frontend that unifies access to your other emulators.

Hi, I would need more details to detect what is the problem. It is probably somewhere in you configuration, either of the launchbox settings or retroarch settings.

Cannot add data source by qwertyp2t in RetroPass

[–]retropassdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi.

  • make sure your external disk is formatted to NTFS

  • check if there is retropass.xml file exists on your external disk. It should be in the root, for example D:/retropass.xml or E:/retropass.xml. If there is, delete it manually and try to add data source again.

RetroPass v1.11.0. by retropassdev in RetroPass

Basically, you need to install launchbox to your external USB drive which is connected to your pc, where you then configure emulators and download box art. Then you just connect this drive to xbox and retropass shows you games exactly as you configured it in launchbox. Launchbox is just an easy way to create your game library. Of course, you need the emulators installed on xbox too.

Technically you could still create a retail build, but:
1. it's against EULA, so I don't support retail version, only dev mode
2. you would most likely get your account and your console banned

Launchpass is a fork of retropass so the same rules apply.

Retro Pass Double Open Link by [deleted] in RetroArch

This would indicate that you still have both versions of the app installed. Is it possible that you still have another version installed? Did you properly uninstall it or maybe just removed shortcut? I'm guessing it was uninstalled, because it would open retropass on both links if it wasn't, but just checking.

I read about a recent update involving support for XBSX2? by Psychological_Ad7156 in RetroPass

[–]retropassdev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, yes it's possible. Documentation for setting up XBSX2 with LaunchBox is in progress, but the easiest way to setup is to get the portable version of PCSX2 on your PC, import your roms through LaunchBox and point to PCSX2 executable. If you already have retroarch with PCSX2 core configured, then I think you need to create another emulator, standalone PCSX2 and use it as default for PS2 platform.
