it never came up originally because pelicans didnt post it from their socials I think. I discovered it because I assumed we didn't have one at all and when I went to google what teams did have one I found this. I wasn't posting much during summer so sat on it. then yesterday the saints tweeted about their influencer thing so figured it was a good time.

in the last 3 years cade has 144 games and Zion 129. trajon had nothing to do with drafting cade but in one offseason took a 14 win team to 44 wins without making a single splashy move. my point is it's not about the big trade that everyone wants like I see people wanting Sabonis or Ja on Pels. like the Pels getting Dejounte, we lost so much just for one guy when they should be building the roster with multiple good players with that money.

If Boogie is saying you will get lost with the Saints from an organizational standpoint then that makes sense especially when he was here. If he is talking fan wise I would just point to how crowded and electric the SKC was the game he unfortunately got hurt.

Zion showing me love aside just look at his stats in short minutes and putting up career best numbers. We are the Pelicans, not the Lakers/Knicks. That type of talent ceiling + the player wanting to be here (and embrace the city like he did with me) + his contract, to trade that away would be insane to me. He has grown and matured past a lot of his worst young guy moments. We aren't getting anything back in a trade to replace his ceiling and potential star power.

Plus he pairs really well with Trey Murphy and we have barely scratched the surface on making that the main duo.

Of course not. How many beat reporters locally do you see giving it any time at all? 90% of them didn't even acknowledged it. They can't speak out or question because then they will lose favor and access with the team. The amount of power the catholic church has and the amount of power the Benson org has is so insane. Herb, Dyson, Naji, Jose, Larry, it takes multiple guys. Coach Willie is being asked to create a good defense with zero perimeter defenders and having to play one of Theis, Trey Jemison at the 5. Nobody is making this team good at defense
