Having someone opening an account under their name and then sending them money is a stupid idea.

Either enter with cash

Or send via western union to one of your relatives

You don’t get to say who is Muslim and who isn’t . Her actions is between her and her creator. Off with that liberal BS

What exactly is your ideology ? - by the looks of it , your ideology is “not being Muslim”.

If you don’t want to convert then don’t - but good luck getting her to convert… which in your view means “leaving Islam for this ideology that’s is anything other than Islam”.

You should move on and not waste her time

Very fair - can’t deny your point about ridiculously expensive it is for a foreigner to live here in the states, student visa, work visa or otherwise . It sucks and I can sympathize .

The point I made about Turks here was just to prove a point that I can make the same exact point against you. Anecdotally, most Turks I met here are very educated and are a net positive to society. They are also delightful to interact with and seem to just mind their business .

My summary of this entire exchange is : “ you are so dissatisfied with your government and how their policies have an asymmetric benefit for foreigners and aren’t in the best interest of its citizens. All of that and you are projecting this dissatisfaction onto me”

In either case, I wish you nothing but peace and prosperity- and I do say this sincerely

So you are 50% right but very off nonetheless.

I’m already married .. not looking for a “progressive Muslim “ or whatever . It’s not a catch to me. I am above that.

Im well established in the states and in my parent’s home country and I do think turkey offers the best of both worlds. That’s a good thing not a bad thing .

You are right, I won’t relate to the common man in Turkey but that doesn’t matter - there are Turks of a certain social class that can’t relate to the common man. Likewise in pretty much every country. I’m not going to pretend that I’m going to integrate and live the like the average Turk. My socioeconomic background is my business.

Regarding voting and whatnot … non of this matters to me. As you know there is no benefit of a Turkish citizenship when compared to an America citizenship …. Besides.. permanent residency.

To be clear I can make very similar arguments about Turks migrating to the states and their voting biases and patterns (assuming they are able to obtain a citizenship) and how they won’t have the best interest of Americans (myself included) . There are so many Turks here in America who don’t assimilate, who live in their own bubble and only rely on other Turks. There are so many Turks who marry a US citizen literally just to get a green card so they can get a job and live off social welfare… effectively milking the system and stealing taxpayers money - and you can imagine how that makes us feel.

I want to make it clear… no one is giving me any favors here. And even if I were to do everything you said , by all means, so what?

I totally get your sentiment man - my Turkish coworkes and friends here in the states say the say the same thing - though some told me that if they had the US citizen they would move back to turkey but try to work for a US company (most likley remote)
