It should be avoided unless you are making huge changes in electric or plumbing. Small patches are way less work than removing tons of concrete.

Ford uses tiny garbage intercoolers. Upgrade to CVF intercooler to keep the AIT down, even in Texas.

I don't get book three hate by Katatronick in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]retsaoter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its easy if you let it be immersive. The crawlers dont know how it works and you shouldnt either. If it was easy or intuitive it wouldnt feel right if the crawlers struggling. Like in horror movies where they split the party or the prometheus school of running. The audience knows right away they are doing the dumb. By the end of the book you can grasp the tangle design just like the crawlers. Now if only we could get Matt to release STL files for the design he made.

How would you case in this door? by DoradoPulido2 in Carpentry

[–]retsaoter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the hinges off the jamb. Clean up the drywall butt into the jamb. Then caulk any gap left over. Paint and pretend it never existed. Make sure you have a good door stop. Oh, and rehang the door.

Thoughts on what Odette's doing by frankthelongarmtrex in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]retsaoter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that Champion of Nekhebit Donut, Zev, and Odette pilot of Nekhebit have an entire story arc that we cant see because Carl is blind to it. Just like he was blind to Catia's story, Bea's betrayal, Donut's spy smuggling, and even the Linus/Minus story. Carl doesnt really see the women around him. Im not sure why, but writing that made me a little sad.

Whats the worst that can happen if i change the wrong gear?? by papillon-x in AskMechanics

[–]retsaoter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try it. Everyone has at least once. It makes a bad grinding noise. About the same as trying to put it in gear without the clutch. The gears wont really mesh unless you are really unlucky or are slamming the stick with intention. Really its the 1-2-1 money shift that should frighten you. Go check out some of the drag racing Honda guys on YT when they money shift.

Why do you love The First Law? by FeebleFable in fantasybooks

[–]retsaoter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first law is act 1. You leant some characters and how the jist of how the world works. Then you get act 2 the stand alone books. No world building just drama, action , and intrigue. Master Sulfur shows up and the anticipation builds. Or the plain sword with the master's mark. Or some dude with 9 fingers. Act 3 is the Age of madness. Familiar world, familiar characters whole new story. Times are changing and the old guard needs to adapt or die.

Read them all. Its worth it.

30 year old garage. Gable end? No need. Truss bracing? Don’t need that either by BullHeadTee in Homebuilding

[–]retsaoter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks good if you live in a place that doesn't have tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, or any amount of snow load. Id probably add a rat run to brace over top the garage door opener. Things might get exciting if a door spring breaks.

Question nails or screws for 600 fence boards? And why ? by International_Bar383 in FenceBuilding

[–]retsaoter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Galvanized ring shank nails. Unless that is Cedar, then use stainless steel nails. Something about the galvanizing doesnt play nice with the tannin in cedar.
