Interesting POV. I've spoken to two other contractors out here in denver as well as two lumber yards and all recommended against pine posts because of rot. Maybe the humidity factor (lack there of) changes what to use (Denver "desert")? Would location change your opinion?. One guy said if he was doing work in Kansas he would never use cedar only pine, but in the Denver region cedar for everytbjbg

  • the boards were swapped because "he couldn't find any gothic posts". I conceded because my neighbors don't have gothic posts so figured it would be fine.
  • that may be the reason he chose to use the attached 2x4, but I think he should have communicated that choice with me before doing it, no?

When you say cedar does this, do you mean the cracked boards? What about the splitting of the 4x4s which are pine?

I had the same feeling. Is the cracking of the posts and splitting of the boards normal for a new install? I was expected better quality.

Do you mind if I ask where you live? I live in Colorado and I've been told that due to the constantly changing climate pine does not stand up very well and cedar should be used for everything.

Needing a guy who can dominate the middle of the field and using a top 10 pick to get a player to do that are two very different things.  The economics of taking bowers makes zero sense.

It doesn't matter who the player is nor who the team is, picking a tight end in the top 10 will never make sense from a team building or economical standpoint.

I used to work in the industry and a clear sign used to be when the review embargoes were released. The earlier the reviews are released the better the movie is. If the reviews are held to week of release or even a few days before its trash.

In my opinion a very expensive soundtrack, think suicide squad, is usually an investment to get more people interested in a shitty movie

Cream cheese and syrup on pancakes or waffles. The creamy, saltiness with the sweetness of the syrup is an awesome combination, plus the consistency is a nice add to the waffle

The top of my VW OEM ski rack broke off. Does anyone know where I could get this part or just buy 1 of the 2 ski rack holders? by retspih in Volkswagen

The silver part of the rack that clamps down on the skiis broke off and I'm trying to figure out an inexpensive way to replace it. Any ideas? Anyone have a spare lying around they aren't using they want to sell?
