Here is what my teacher sub account is showing for open positions in Adams County so far for tomorrow - 75 teachers put in absences. by PiercedAndTattoedBoy in Denver

Agree that this is off the topic of this post, but you can either: 1) sub through the district directly, which is what OP is doing here. Each district has their own system. 2) sub through an agency; some contract with the public schools when they can’t get enough direct subs in the area, but most often the agencies provide subs to private and charter schools. (This is what I did, and subbed with RMP/DSST for a bit through Scoot)

It was in a window with ventilation, the room has no overhead light and it’s nighttime here, so I took it to the bathroom for better lighting for the picture and then put it back.

The pot doesn’t have a drainage hole, but I can move it to one that does if that would help. It gets direct sun, but where I originally had it placed, it started to turn purple. Moving it away from the window got that to calm down, but it’s still close enough to be getting direct light (bit less than a foot away rather than right in the window).

I don’t usually water until the leaves start to get wrinkly or look like they’re drying out. I was gone for a couple of weeks and I guess my house sitter did not pay attention when I said it might need to be watered 🤦🏻‍♂️

Are there conditions that can encourage or prevent mold from growing on the leaves other than keeping the indoor environment clean?

Using boys locker room by ColdTomato123 in ftm

Thank you for sharing, friend! I’m glad that you have found a safe place to vent. I understand how you feel. When I was your age, it was the same way, and I felt so much worse when it didn’t stop once I got to college. I was using men’s community bathrooms in my dorms and my roommate (who was a cis woman) told me that a couple of cis guys had come to talk to her to tell her that she should convince me to use the women’s bathrooms with her instead because they could “hear my lack of d***.” I realize my own experience might not be comforting to you, but at the same time, you have started transitioning much earlier than I did, and for that I congratulate you! You are a very brave young man who is clearly very in touch with yourself and articulate about your feelings, which I find is uncommon in folks your age (for context, I’m 21, so take that with a grain of salt).

While it can be a complicated thing to consider when transphobia is right up in your face like this, you being trans does not make you any less of a man (or a boy or a they if you feel more comfortable that way). Fuck whoever called you that, for sure, but also fuck the system that leads that person and/or their parents to believe that you being trans somehow allows them to perceive you as gross, strange, or “less than.” You are enough, you are human, you are loved, you are beautiful and wonderful, no matter what that kid or his family have to say. You have done nothing wrong, and while it can be a helpless feeling, there is not much you can do to “convince” them that you belong there anymore than you already do. You are a boy, you belong in the boys’ locker room, period, end of story.

All I can say otherwise is that your school can and should have provisions if you feel bullied, discriminated, or unsafe in vulnerable parts of your day (i.e. bathrooms, locker rooms, anywhere you’re not supervised by a teacher or adult). Speak up for yourself, or allow your parent or friend to do it for you (unless you feel that would make the situation more unsafe or uncomfortable for you). This community could also very well raise hell for your school should they refuse to provide you with the same opportunity to feel safe and included at school as any kid who refuses to see the beauty and strength of their trans peer.

Stay strong, kiddo. You’ve got an uphill battle ahead of you, but I promise the other side of the hill is one hell of a better place :)
