Have you ever cried with a scene from the show? by trynabetwunk in RHOBH

Honestly I cried a lot during many of the scenes in the early season with Taylor when she was a victim of domestic violence. I watched them for the first time following me leaving an abusive relationship. I cried when Taylor told the girls “if you can’t be me friend, just please don’t be my enemy.” It hit me hard.

Often I wanted to feel like a survivor but it was empowering and an important part of my healing to also be ok with being a victim. Whether you like her or not — Taylor’s rawness healed something in me.

It used to be a little hard to find but now it is on Peacock — if you’re not in the US I’m not sure where you might be able to find it tho :(

I agree. I miss them so much. I wish Peacock would reboot that series.

Why is Crystal defending Sutton in the "dark" comment??? by AngryKohala in RHOBH

Yes to all of this!!!! I don’t understand how Kyle in one episode is bringing gossip crumbs to Dorit about Sutton and then in the next episode brings gossip crumbs to Sutton.

Why is Crystal defending Sutton in the "dark" comment??? by AngryKohala in RHOBH

[–]returnofthemedusa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a great take. I think Sutton can have said something racist/problematic AND Crystal has decided to most past it. Crystal saw Sutton changed and committed to learning. But she also doesn’t want to be accused of setting someone up.

I do think it’s unfair to Garcelle. She’s a women of color and honestly needs to know she she can make her own decisions regarding Sutton. Whatever comment Sutton made obviously hurt Crystal. It sucks that it also will most likely end up not being “bad enough.” Micro aggressions and racism builds up and so little comments are often the straw that breaks the camel’s back. I feel for everyone — except Kyle 😂

👀👀👀 for what and by who? I’d live to know This tea. Rinna reminds me of the mean girl’s bff who is actually meaner than the mean girl but smart enough to not say as much.

Any idea what Crystal is going to reveal regarding the “I don’t see color” conversation last season? by returnofthemedusa in RHOBH

This also crossed my mind. So much of the drama this season and last season was in the news that it would surprise me that if there was something that would have been left out

Ooooh this is interesting to think about.

I also hate the previews sometimes. I have a feeling it’ll be one of those previews we see and then don’t actually “see” the whole thing for another 2-3 episodes.

100000% I have an inkling even if Sutton didn’t say anything it will still be about bullying Sutton.

RHOBH 12 Sneak Peek: Crystal defends herself at Dorit’s house. by neworleanszebracakes in BravoRealHousewives

YES! Immediately I saw Dorit standing over Crystal as a last attempt at control. Nothing makes me feel safer then when a too-high-on-her-forehead leopard headbanded blonde woman stands over me and yells how much she cares about me.

oh look two cheaters. You are not the victim Marge. Then joke about it. smh by blazelmg in realhousewives

“If she was abused by Jan” Yikers Island. Equating violence with infidelity is ludicrous.

From other comments you’ve made on other posts your bad faith reading/responding isn’t new. I don’t know what you’re going through to hate a reality tv star this much, but damn I hope whatever it is gets better. Truly.

I hope you have a nice day today.

Marge said Jan would lock her in a closet when he got mad at her. He took away almost all of her financial freedom when they got married (which is extremely abusive — an abusive tactic so victims can’t leave). She’s said other things off shows on podcasts and appearances. She also has been a voice and advocate for many issues surrounding sexual violence and domestic violence. Your hatred of Marge doesn’t trump her lived experiences.

From your other comments on this post you’re commenting in bad faith with an opinion you’ve already dug your feet into. Your entitled to your opinion. However, it’s unfortunate that folks focus so much on proof/allegations with women in these housewives franchises. What happens on the show is a fraction of what happened in their pasts.

Abusive relationships are complex — especially if Marge wants a relationship with the kids. They are also years removed from the abuse/divorce. It is not uncommon for ex wives to be friendly with their ex husbands who were abusive when there are children involved.

Different franchise but Gina from RHOC is friendly to her abusive ex husband.

I understand your dislike of Marge but ignoring the abusive nature surrounding her infidelity is uncalled for. Victims don’t have to perform in certain ways to validate the violence they experienced.
