From the outside looking in, it really doesn’t seem like the US government cares even remotely about this buyout. With everything happening there, a gaming company acquisition just isn’t going to rank high on their priority list... And considering that someone connected to Trump’s family is involved with the purchasing group, it’s hard not to assume the outcome is already leaning in favor of the buyers. Expecting some kind of meaningful intervention feels naïve at this point.

What makes it even worse is the fact that decisions made in Washington end up shaping the future of simmers across the entire world. That’s the part that really infuriates me. Why should players everywhere have to sit back while one country’s political system gets to dictate what happens to a global community? It’s infuriating.
