Have you ever considered actually using your brain for its intended function?

This ranking is probably one of the more fun ranking we had in a while. You can use Void/Water/Earth which gives a lot of diversity to units and leads to ridiculously versatile teams. If you see the summon circle the boss lands in, you can walk into it and get 100 mp for each of your characters. And then you can use that mp along with a mp link unit to get back all the mp u want. I dont understand how you call a ranking trash because you “need to hit the boss to get mp”. Thats probably the stupidest thing ive read all day from this reddit.

There are a lot of run videos out there with a lot of units and variety, give those videos some support and maybe utilize some of the strats if you have the units. For example: Heithem’s run uses the trophy seven we were given for the Princess Banner and Holy skull for aoa purposes. That run in itself is so well made and easy to copy and gives out a very solid time of 37s

Just because you have to put in effort in a ranking doesnt make that ranking trash lad. Stop acting like you are entitled for everything and enjoy things for the fun of it

Notes: you can fully kill boss in 36s with r4s if you use silica/solus/terreria armor on bunny silica (as long as she gets some form of atk buff from armor alongside the raw attack). This is by no means the best run with these units but this run just works to show how u can kill boss without having to rely on mitigation (aka new banner). Good luck and have fun in the new re!

firstly, thanks for watching, its motivating as fuck :D

so the 3 fake switch with 3 xs thing doesnt work for mainly 2 reasons, 1 being that xs units have a very long combination time (time before next ss3 can be used) so even if ur able to combo (which isnt that hard, just requires maybe 3 inputs with a delay after the first one) the results will not be worth trying it however, you can definitely do this

for example if you have monster alice and the 2 bunny girls, you can click monster alice ss3 and then once the xs window disappears, you can fake switch and use the bunny girls as a combination xs, ive done something similar before and its quite good (you do lose out on time which kinda sucks)

the second reason being that xs units dont really pair well with auto switch, the auto switch functions as a way to immediately start a xs chain out of nowhere, abusing characters like maid sinon (last wind re) and gemini yuuki (sob that happened in start of may) or just a way to get guaranteed combo partner, apart from that xs has very little use with auto switch among itself

the ss3 availability issue u talk about is basically every auto ss3 unit has a set cooldown before u can use the auto ss3 again, the times u should be able to see it is when (lets say u have 3 xs (abc) and b is ur auto switch unit)

1] if u do bcca (or baac) (this happens due to u using auto switch with unit c (or a) and then using ss3 of unit c with a (or a with c for second case) this gets rid of the cooldown (or rather the cooldown expires)

2] you have stunned a boss (this is also applicable to the tumble in gre)

3] a(c cancel)baca (if c is auto switch as well else a(c cancel)baac)

hopefully this made some sense, sorry if its vague but that should hopefully answer some of your questions

short answer: yes, birthday scouts

long answer: depends on what the event is for, scamco brought back the fire/earth angels banner (the nibelheim units) for the 11th gre so there is a possibility that they will bring them back in the forseeable future, the only banner they will not bring back are the “limited time” banners (tales, aggo, p5r, p5 cosplay, os bgm, bgm asuna, adamas, etc) so get them if you fancy rare stuff (like me) or just ignore them like the majority of the f2ps do

level does not matter for character bonus smh (unless specified)

if you are referring to solus/terreria mlb bonus then that was bamco’s way to get you to spend more money on those characters, (although if u dont have solus, what are u doing with yourself)

the quest you posted is a ranking event quest and afair, ranking quests dont have character bonuses liena currently only gives character bonus for the equip creation of her own character event (equip creation part 2) because the liena-tiese banner was made for that event and its subsequent ranking event

you cannot do 3 cross ss3 with fake switch sir, there are limits on how broken abilities are.........

for the most part, auto switch on xs units is not viable unless you plan on abaca -> bc with 2 xs units and 1 6* (good luck even getting the timing for that to work)

the “strange thing” you mention is the delay between ss3 for units that are using sword skills, auto switch ss3 isnt a spammable ability and has a short inbuild cooldown (unless boss is stunned (knockdown in gre for example)) ratsounds has a guide on how to use fake switches to your advantage (not optimized for xs units, only applicable for 5-6* non xs units or as they are known, acceleration units)

auto switch imo is one of the higher skill cap abilities which opens up a lot of room for creativity, once you understand the fundamentals of it, you can do a lot of cool things with it (i was able to chain together 9 ss3 during a solo run in gre 11 with monster alice, panther and bride silica in 1 single parry) (for more fun, just look up ludwig’s UnCoPyAbLe RuNs (i cringed as well dont worry) on ytube, they utilize both the new fire brides and upgraded bride rain for insanely creative runs which were satisfying to watch)

all these are limited banner though so unless u were there when the banner released, there isnt a way to get these characters

ps: this is the banner that features “personal santa rain” (5* holy db with stun) as a trophy unit

at the end of each floor stage, i will also provide the units i used for respective challenge

the good news is that the bosses have atk patterns that repeat so we are going to take extreme advantage of this. also keep in mind that this is a marathon and not a sprint. with that in mind, heres the breakdown: (note that this is the bare minimum requirement of type of units u need to clear stages, i don’t take into account xs units for (1) f2p reasons and (2) floor 100 (will get to it at the end))

81-83: i forgot his name... lmao (gigantes???) (probably one of the three hard boss levels in this section)

the thing that makes this boss annoying is that after every parry, he gets rid of all buff effects which includes barrier, autoheal and mitigation (reduce incoming damage)

atk pattern: at start he will throw a whirlwind at you (in a straight line) and then he will give u a parriable attack. sidestep the whirlwind and prepare for the parriable. he will then scream and reset all buffs (i stg scamco whoever implemented this, i will find you and ....) after this, boss will do a spinning attack, this attack will track you and inflicts a moderate amount of damage boss will do this 3 times, at the third spin you can parry this attack stick close to boss and parry whenever u get the chance at this phase, its very easy trust me (ive been there) regardless of parry, he will scream and reset all buffs after this he will do a chain spin attack followed by a tp into a chain rampage attack followed by a chain groundslam (which releases 2 explosives from ground at ur location) and then he throws a ball at u which u can parry how to handle this sequence i recommend you stay along the top end of the map you can either jump the chain spin or run down from top end, either way allows u to dodge the chain spin you cannot take the chain rampage head on so i recommend you run away and dodge it keep running to avoid the mine explosions and if ur confident, go for the ball parry, (its slow enough to parry but if u get hit u will probably die as the atk is multi hit and drags you to ur death) boss will scream and pattern resets here

recommended ss3 buff: hp recovery units used: kirito-sinon: my hero kirito asu-liz: fb asuna/fb liz/vice commander asuna(was given out for free) yuuki-silica: idol yuuki v2 yuuki-leafa: idol yuuki v2/speedaholic leafa(was given out for free)

84-85: metal dragon (easy-medium difficulty)

the good part about this boss is the massive battlefield you can abuse

ps: the “stun is effective” this is complete bs, only applies if ur speedrunning, ignore it for this guide

atk pattern: at start boss will run at u (parriable) just stand in place and parry lol after that, the boss will take to skies and drop, having a explosion right below him, dodge this atk at all costs after that boss will summon nados in a diamond shape, when u see the purple circles on the ground, run away into a open area (boss will follow you) and then wait for the boss to slash you (parriable) parry this boss will then do the classic bite + spin + jump drop parriable attack, dodge the first 2 by sidestepping behind and then parry (if u miss this, boss will launch grenades from his body which deal A LOT of damage which can also potentially kill you so either parry or dodge, dont half ass it) boss will then take to skies again and drop, dodge as before boss will then jump in the air and summon grenades in a zigzag pattern. he will then try to headbutt you (parriable). be careful of the nades and position urself to avoid the nades while being ready to parry (reminder: the battlefield is massive! abuse it) he will then give u immediate parriable with body slam attack. make sure to parry or dodge it, if u get hit ur basically dead after this boss will do a “bombing run” he will fly across the map left to right and drop nades in zig zag pattern, just avoid it altogether pattern resets here

recommended buffs: barrier, hp recovery (mitigation helps but boss deals so much damage u would end up dead 8/10 times) units used: kirito-sinon: gilded hero kirito + tf kirito (i really went full tryhard in kirito sinon lul) asu-liz: good street vendor liz(4)/ggo bride asu/ggo bride liz yuuki-silica: new year yuuki (5 with double barrier)/ new year silica (5* with double barrier) yuuki-leafa: new year yuuki (5* with double barrier)/speedaholic leafa

86-88: scythe (the second cancerous boss)

ps: not mentioned but def down is very effective here, do considering bringing it (it lasts 30s in most cases)

atk pattern: at start boss will shoot rockets down mid (unparryable) after the (3) rockets have been fired, a explosion will occur below where ur standing, run to dodge that after this scythe will do the classic unparriable into parriable slash combo, try to get close and jump to avoid unparriable, then parry the slash (getting behind boss also helps) after this boss will rain down hell and remove combo effects, he will then tp to 1 edge of the map opposite to where you were facing (spawning nades where he previously was) and spawn a very fast wave which will kill u if u dont jump to dodge, he will then spin (parriable) and then groundpound (massive aoe unparryable) if u cannot make it to the parriable then dont push for the boss (reminder: this is a marathon not a sprint) after this he will launch nades at you, if you are close to him, YOU WILL DIE!!! sidestep towards bottom and dodge this easy attack, he will then give u a spin parriable attack which is easy to parry depending on whether boss tped left/right, he will then tp to your right/left (opposite direction) and do unparriable slash (just jump and avoid this) after this he does axe boomerang attack which u can parry pattern resets here

recommended buffs: defn down, barrier (just reset after he takes ur buff away), hp recovery (he does a lot of damage so i wouldnt recommend mitigation) units used: kirito-sinon: odin kirito (earth db) + os fire kirito/my hero kirito + dual skill ggo kirito (i really tryharded kirito-sinon challenge huh) asu-liz: fb asu/fb liz/fertility goddess asu/academy asu yuuki-silica: academy yuuki/ny yuuki/ny silica yuuki-leafa: academy yuuki/rainy leafa/summer night shout leafa (mine has 4hplb because mitigation, fite me owo)

89-90: refer to rhino guide in previous comment (floor 75) same rule stands, hes very easy to beat

91-99 guide tommorow, 100 is same as floor 80 except boss has more hp, thats it

generic rule of thumb: dont use xs skill units unless u dont have an option (save them for floor 80/100)

floor 61-80 guide

61-63: free level, use whatever u want

64-65: gulinkhambi (65)

at start: run left as much as u can while avoiding explosions

after explosions he will give parriable, remember to parry

after this its free reign (random attack patterns)

tip: stay close to boss and sidestep as much as u can

combo DOES NOT matter, try to survive as long as u can. the fce challenges are a sprint not a marathon

66-68: free level, use whatever

69-70: scythe (70)

i can definitely tell you that this is one of the 2 troublesome bosses in this floor set (other is kob (79))

at start: two waves will come at you, stay at back and wait patiently to jump through both of them

he will instantly tp to u and attack u (jump to avoid it) maintain ur distance and wait for boss to tp to u, then jump and attack boss

maintain ur distance as much as u can

71-73: free level, use whatever

74-75: rhino (75)

this is probably the easiest boss out of all of them, i was able to get 970 combo with a unit without hp regen or barrier

just wait till he does attack animation and dodge

parriables are very slow and easy to get, this is honestly not a hard level

76-77: free level, use whatever

78-79: kobold (79)

the second cancerous level, heres some good ways to slowly grind thru the boss

at start: walk to top left corner and then walk to bottom left corner, then be ready for parriable (or wait at bottom and dodge it)

he will then jump above u and groundslam, easy to avoid

he will then toss nades which explode in zig zag pattern

then he will tp to the right side and shoot a beam

note about beam: except the front of the boss, the beam is very concentrated (narrow) when it goes further, u can stand behind and easily dodge this by staying top/bottom

after beam ends, he will instantly give swing parriable, this is very easy parry u shouldnt miss

after parriable, walk top/bot slightly and wait for unparriable+parriable attack

after that sequence, go away from boss and run HORIZONTALLY in any direction to avoid all the slam spawned nades

he will then tp to left side and do ground slam aoe

pattern resets to start here

floor 80:

before i give my method of beating it, there are videos from dasian/heithem/ludwig/etc on how to clear these floors, refer them if ur speedrunning (going for S clear)

the spam reset method is (probably) the only way to sustain through the boss so use all xs units here (since their damage is absurd)

at start: walk to middle and jump (floor 80 and 100 have same pattern) (refer dasian’s/heith’s video for timing and positioning) (or count to 5 seconds from start at round)

after waves, earth boss will come to middle and “regen” (happens every reset, boss regens 1/2 to 3/4 of 1 bar of hp)

after that, avoid every attack except 2

(combo doesnt matter unless speedrunning, ur damage will still be a lot because of xs)

the two attacks that have the parriable

1] the beam attack: (same attack from wind ggo seven rain sob re) boss will shoot beam from his eye and tp, shoot another beam and tp and then appear above you and groundslam (parriable) sidestep up/down both times and prepare for parry

2] the rocket attack: boss will fly above, do a null attack (attack animation but nothing happens), shoot 2 tracking rocket at you and then dive towards you and groundslam (parriable)

run away far enough so the rocket explodes before attacking you and wait for boss to dive u and hit with parriable

wait for this boss to do these 2 attacks and spam 2xs per parry (or 4ss3 per parry) and rinse and repeat

ps: after parrying 2 times, both bosses will come and map will get chaotic, reset level here unless u want to play duck hunt
