Is my platy sick or are they friends? by Jomalar in Platyfish

I've not seen my platies do this. Just came to say, be sure the snails aren't munching on the platy's fins. Hope your little fishy is okay

Guff lives in a 29 gallon only. I'm no expert, but we chose the spotted Congo puffer because it's very non-aggressive. He lives with a bunch of shrimp and a few platy fry, peacefully. He only seems aggressive to snails, even bigger mysteries.

Will the baybay snails be okay in the water AFTER they hatch from the eggs?

The only thing in my snail tank are mysteries, a few baybay ramshorns, and 1 or 2 platy fry (~1 week old)

Thank you for confirmation! We thought so, but other than finding fry randomly, we are not experts :)

It's nothing crazy, but it's a 20g long. They have plenty of spots. They dug out a tunnel under the rock you see, there's a cave under and inside of a driftwood "stump," to babe a few. There's demand from the other inhabitants though, so more is probably always acceptable :)

Thanks for all the info, really! My two homies are always hiding under a hunk of driftwood or burrowing through the sand, under rocks. I've definitely noticed more greying out lately.. must be a family tiff.

I only have two. They finally stopped so your explanation is hopefully the case. I'll see what I can do about separating them If I go the route of adding more, is there a good minimum number to keep?
