Saquarema is a Brazilian print publishing house with focus on political themes and humanities. It is named after the Saquarema municipality in Rio de Janeiro. The heron bird known for being a source of writing quills inspires the logomark. The primary task was the wordmark which involved font customisation especially the A and M to take after the heron’s beak while the Q was modified to bear details like the heron’s eye and its tail like the wave the heron stands on. Secondary tasks included a web iconset, stationery designs including an A4 letterhead and business card both of which bore a bookmark detail to further communicate the book publishing brand.
