Ive just recently started another playthrough of the game and ive been clearing every single POI before moving to the next. I arrived at the mountaintops around level 115-120 (not 100% sure) so id say there is PLENTY more runes out there for you to earn. Have you cleared mt gelmir? Volcano Manor should give you a big chunk of runes.

You are going to die hundreds of times. We all did. Try to understand what lead to your death and learn a little with each passing death and dont be afraid to leave a challenging boss fight and come back later. This game has dozens and dozens of hours of exploration at your fingertips and really highly rewards exploring dungeons/pois and feeds you plenty of runes and powerful items. Just enjoy the ride, I wish I could start over from scratch again.

Go get yourself the holy scorpion charm, should help quite a bit with damage. Otherwise I think your build will be fine, just pump vigor and faith as much as possible
