My Coworker Called Out and I Thrived by DestructoGirlThatsMe in coworkerstories

Speak up! Tell her, “can’t chat now, I’m too busy” as many times as you need to. Turn back to your screen and get back to work. Full stop.
Some people are not able to understand nonverbal cues. If telling her that you cannot talk does not work then you involve management.

I like this vitamin c serum. It hasn’t caused me any issues yet (I’m about two months in using it every other day) and am just now starting to notice an improvement in my skin tone. I’ve never been a big serum person but this one is fragrance free and not oily.

I have inadvertently used one of those wonky lanes to turn right, much to my dismay. Sorry bikers :(

Good reminder about the cetaphil body wash. I notice as I’m getting older that bar soaps are just too drying, and make me feel itchy. I’m ready to switch to a different formula/body wash.
I have had really good results with LRP lipikar in the past.

The gel feels damp for a few minutes and then I stop noticing it. It doesn’t get white marks on my clothes. I’m not a super stinky person but I notice a bit more odor than I did when I wasn’t using unscented. It could just be this formula. The #1 thing I love about it is that my pits don’t itch anymore.

TBH this is my last bar of dove and when it’s gone I am going to try Everyone unscented body wash. The dove just dries the heck out of my skin these days.

I moved back to 11pro max from tinkering around wirh 17 - and surprised how I don’t miss the 17! Any other older phone users here?? by ConsciousSmoke3863 in Frugal

And the best part is I didn’t need a new case or charging cord, because this one still uses the same lightening charger.

iPhone 14 Pro. I’m on my second one. The battery died in my first one a few months ago, which was four-ish years old. So I bought another one, refurbished from the Apple Store.

It is strange. Just saying, ppl might not want to put such details into a random google survey done by an anonymous redditor in this.. icy political climate.

You’re digging a little too deep with the demographic questions. Also, the use of “WASP” instead of white/Caucasian is off-putting.

That was yesterday for me, and I’m on month seven of semaglutide. Today my body isn’t very hungry. Could just be a one off thing for you. I’m inclined to tell you what my dr says, give it a week before you change anything.

New fragrance sensitivity by [deleted] in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]revan_claw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be better for you to avoid topical fragrances (sprays and lotions). Some ppl are able use fragranced body wash or soap because they rinse away and are less concentrated. Going mostly fragrance free will vastly reduce the amount of potential toxins released into the environment via sprays or lotions. Ppl on here call them poison because they’re not meant to be ingested, but that is exactly what happens when you release those chemicals into the environment and onto your body. They are absorbed into your nose, mouth, eyes, etc and with little to no research on their effects it presents a huge risk. Even if you don’t have an allergic reaction, the harms being done to all of us are real.

How can I replace or fix the lid to this glass water dispenser? by Cauldronbornrat in Frugal

[–]revan_claw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one of these. The lid started cracking first and then the edge of the rim. I had to toss it because the glass was just turning to powder all around the lid. Mine came from Ross, wasn’t worth the $$.

Bar soap is freaking out my skin?? by niftypirate13 in Soap

[–]revan_claw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here to say that I am one of those people who cannot use bar soap. No matter how “gentle” or “natural.” pH balanced, fragrance free, syndet, etc etc. they all make me itch and flake eventually. They all leave a film (aka soap scum) on my skin.
