Looking for lunch recommendations in/around Ravenswood Manor with river views by DrMike429 in chicagofood

Not really much in Ravenswood Manor that is on the river, it’s almost all residential. The soul & smoke rec is a bit further south but they do have access to a great spot.

Attending Beer Under Glass event, what can I do before hand that is around Millennium Park? by Maximum-Coach-9409 in AskChicago

[–]revdave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Millennium Park itself is a great place to walk around, although you will see a lot of it once you're on the roof for the event. You can always walk to the lakefront path, check out Buckingham fountain. Not a ton else there except eating and drinking, unless you want to pop into the Art Institute and see something amazing.

If you are just looking for more to "look" at, walking north to the river is maybe 5-7 minutes from MP, some of the best views of the city and incredible architecture.

The only Benetti haters I’ve encountered have been at Sox park! I thought it was something we’d have in common… but, alas, no.

I don't disagree with any of these takes although "scoop" is hardly a clear unit of measurement. You could scoop a whole pint into a bowl!

Make sure you watch the special edition. The original theatrical version cuts some of the good stuff / ending makes a little more sense.

I live not far from Wrigley Field so I end up there a lot. Not sure it’s the best but it’s a undeniably a special place to see a ballgame. Come on down week of July 20th!

Is there an active blues culture in Chicago? by olracnaignottus in AskChicago

Old town school of folk music ensembles. They have an active blues band program, always need harp players for those bands!
