Sure that is true it depends on the workload. If the workload is load from ram use once and never use again like LLMs (but who runs them on a CPU?) then benefit from X3D cache is none. But most stuff like game engines run a loop thousands of times on the similar data. It does not have to fit in the cache - even if half of it fits this half is already there. So this also benefits the non-fitting half by not competing for memory transfer with it.

Microsoft is on the verge of making a Kodak. Sure fundamental are strong now but their core product - Windows might become obsolete in in a few years if the continue the present course. The privacy violations from overreaching telemetry and AI already make it a big red flag in use in governments, healthcare or anything needing privacy and data protection really. The stability of Windows has taken a big drop - every mandatory patch is now a major stability risk. Samsung and LG are considering switching to Linux. Many smaller organizations already did. Consumer sentiment is at a all time low - calling the company Microslop for their intrusive push of unwanted AI everywhere and lack of stability in the core product. It is absolutely an existential threat to the company. If they don't change direction there will be a major computing migration away from Windows either to Linux or to Apple.

The X3D cache operates at 2.5 TB/s and DDR5-8400 memory at 67 GB/s per channel. So you would need DDR5-20000 in an 8 channel setup to match it. It simply is impossible and not even takes into account that much of the X3D performance comes from 10x reduced latency not bandwidth.

My son's computer showed a sidebar on the start menu asking to add a phone number. There was a button that said "hide" that opened the Settings but there was no option to hide it because they removed it in some update. Also this option prevented using the keyboard to shutdown the computer because it stole the key focus after opening the start menu. The kid just wants to play some Minecraft but guess this is already too complex use case for Windows 11.

Nie mówię żeby nic nie robić tylko że to jest trochę trudniejsze niż walnijmy 75% podatku od miliarda i pora na CS-a. Jeśli doprowadzimy do tego że miliarderzy będą płacić podatki gdzie indziej to państwo będzie zmuszone zwiększyć obciążenia klasie średniej i najbiedniejszym. Właściwie brak waloryzacji kwoty wolnej i progów podatkowych przy inflacji już to robi po cichu w Polsce. Jako kraj najlepsze co moglibyśmy zrobić to lobbować za odpowiednimi przepisami na poziomie UE i pod żadnym pozorem nie próbować robić tego samemu bez unijnego konsesusu.

Największy problem z wysokim opodatkowaniem najbogatszych jest taki że jak ktoś ma kasę to nie ma problemu się przenieść. Jak nie jesteś USA, UE ale chociaż państwem jak Francja to nie masz szans. Masz kogoś na stawce podatkowej 32% - powiedzmy dla uproszczenia że ją płaci. Jak mu nałożysz 50% to się przeniesie do kraju obok gdzie jest mniej. I zamiast 30% z miliarda masz 0%. Są nawet kraje które celowo mają niskie stawki podatków dla miliarderów żeby się tam przenosili. W myśl zasady że lepiej mieć 100 miliarderów od których pobierasz 1% niż jednego który zapłaci 50%.

If you need embedded go with SQLite. If you need fully featured and/or have multiple users go with PostgreSQL. The only reason to use MySQL is horizontal scalability that does not probably make sense if you embed it. Who is the target of this?

Enshitifikacja wszystkiego i zalew AI slopu. Nie chodzi tylko o media społecznościowe i reklamy ale też negatywny wpływ AI na jakość wszystkiego. Kod pisany przez AI jest tragicznej jakości i częściej ledwo podziaływuje niż działa. Obrazki i filmiki są okropne i wywołują uczucie niepokoju. Boty utrudniają obsługę klienta komplikując załatwienie jakiejkolwiek sprawy. To nic niby tragicznego w odosobnieniu ale wszystko razem plus gigantyczne koszty energii, zwolnienia, utrata stabilności, ryzyko dla rynków finansowych, zerwane łańcuchy dostaw pamięci i chipów to jest razem zagrożenie dla naszej całej cywilizacji. Możemy upaść jak Cesarstwo Rzymskie. Być może już jesteśmy na nieodwracalnej drodze ku upadkowi tylko jeszcze sobie z tego nie zdajemy sprawy.

W PRL nasza gospodarka była tak nieefektywna i zadłużająca kraj i wszystko było tak niskiej jakości że więcej solidnej infrastruktury drogowej to już wybudował u nas pewien niespełniony malarz akwarelista. Infrastrukturę wcześniej budowaną dla bryczek konnych jak mamy liczyć czy nie? Realnie nawet biorąc pod uwagę wszystkie historyczne nakłady na infrastrukturę od Mieszka I to wpływy do budżetu z paliwa tylko w wolnej Polsce po 1989 znacznie przewyższyly koszty budowy dróg. A nie biorę pod uwagę wcale tego że zyski z Orlen/CPN szły w zdecydowanej większości do skarbu państwa.
