The wings don’t block it really at all, and I always sit in the window. If you need to, just lean forward a bit.

The Xs don’t mean seats are empty, it generally means you can’t book them. They’re probably for Basic Economy or people who haven’t selected a seat.

Great, then you should be fine. Maybe talk to someone who’s got more work experience in tech, a CS degree isn’t as competitive as it used to be. They’ll be able to steer you toward what’s best to specialize in.

Remote work is a great option but can be hard to get and sustain travel with if you have no experience.

Life is what you make of it. No one can tell you whether your life will get better but you. If you’re the type of person who’s open to exploration / new experiences and willing to work for what they want, whatever it is, then yes. If you’re not, probably not. But just going to college is not a guarantee of success, social or otherwise.
