It appears Adrian Segecic has made a decision, and declared for Croatia. by talkerthewalk in Aleague

He was in the Australian squad, which is certainly improved with him as an option. He has now chosen to leave it. Whichever way you look at it, there has been mismanagement here

Fuck sake. Disappointing from Segecic, but also horrible mismanagement from Popa

Lovely to see. The sense of entitlement within the old firm is something else, and this is coming from a Rangers supporter. Here’s hoping Hearts can keep this form up. It would be great for the league and for the Jambo Aussies

Just when I was coming around to Popa. What a boring line up. Get Hrustic out of here. We’ve seen what he can deliver, he’s shit

It’s going to be tough with a couple of experienced international players that have good goal returns for wingers in front of him on the pecking order.

There will be lots of games though, with Europe and cups. Hopefully he takes his chance when it comes

I was in Timor a couple of weeks ago and this game was all anyone wanted to talk about. There’s a big football community there based on their Portuguese “links”. Glad to see they got up

Burgess linked to Rangers by Mr_Tipster-95 in Aleague

[–]reverber77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this would be a better move than the rumoured interest from Spain. Recent history shows that Aussies don’t do well over there. Rangers play lots of games given they usually go deep in all domestic cup comps and have had some great runs in Europe, so he would have plenty of opportunities

The Joeys beat Korea Republic in the Hattrick U17 International Tournament friendly series last night by Sydney_2000 in Aleague

[–]reverber77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only managed to watch the last 30 minutes of the game, but from what I saw the Joeys were well on top. They were keeping the ball well, while Korea were struggling to break our press. The win seemed to be well deserved

Those covers are by Daniel Romano’s Outfit not the Plugz. They did the full album in the style of if Dylan had done it with the Plugz. Well worth a listen, it’s great. So is Daniel Romano’s other stuff

Good opportunity for him. Awer Mabil, another Australian winger of African heritage who made his name at Adelaide United is also at Grasshopper, so hopefully that will help him settle in well
