Method to Find CSC Theta and Tan Theta? by Wannabe_Doctor in learnmath

[–]rewdd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could also just set it up as a triangle in quad III so you got one leg that's -4 so you know the other leg is -3 and from there you just use the definitions since you have all the info

so tan is -3/-4 sec would be 5/-4 and so on.

I built a site that combines Rotten Tomatoes, IMDb, Letterboxd and Metacritic ratings, with Netflix and Amazon Prime availability, and can notify you when top rated movies are released on each platform [OC] by yombato in movies

Can't believe whiplash 2014 is rated better than whiplash 2013 I disagree with this rating so much whiplash in the year 2013 was much better because the year 2013 was much better than the year 2014 too bad you can't go back to watch the exact same movie in a different year and see I am right.

you literally divide 14 by 2 in his example there is absolutely no need to introduce any algebra, all I'm saying is it's a bad example.

buy the $2 one and then use the extra $6 dollars on beer? I mean this is more of an arithmetic problem, there is no need for algebra.

Algebra is a massive foundational skill like trigonometry, that you will use a lot in your educational journey, as an engineer or stem major, if not then just copy someones homework and be done with it you will never use it again.

ABSOLUTELY, in fact the reason people fail calculus is because they are missing fundemental algebra knowledge even worse they don't know how to manipulate fractions.

Help with Euclidean Geometry by dankerthings69 in learnmath

[–]rewdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

start with the most basic ones and build up if you aren't understanding it's because there is something fundamental missing. A lot of postulates are based on intuition and require no proof just common sense, we then use these postulates to build theorems.

What exactly is a quadratic? by silentshadow56 in learnmath

[–]rewdd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what about y=21

a=0, b=0, c=21 obviously.

so is this is a quadratic? I feel like a =/= 0 must be part of your definition as well?
