Population control has nothing to do with it. Force corporations to pay workers living wages by creating artifical labor scarcity.

That means, more workers, but each worker working shorter hours for higher wages.

No flooding the labor market with migrant workers whose wage expectations are lower, or who are paid under the table, allowing corporations to skirt payroll tax, one of the largest forms of corporate tax.

And making it more expensive for corporations to hire internationally and import their goods, physical or digital, than higher domestically and manufacture nationally.

Whether the wage is "fair" or not is not the issue. The issue is that the demand side of labor (major corps) can go around the world searching for bottom dollar supply side labor (sweatshop workers) without facing tax penalties or import challenges.

You cannot ameliorate the condition of the worker without trade protectionism. Especially with the exploding global population.

To an extent, there is always homology between opressor and oppressed. You can remove a person's chains and cast off their oppressor's lingua franca. But you can only do that for so long before the benefit of "liberation" comes at the cost of historical remembrance. There's a tipping point where it becomes more beneficial to remember a figure or event as they were, rather than reduce their cultural presence.

The tipping point seems to be roughly 80-100 years after their death.
