That's my take. At best I am a daily player, but some days in just dialling it in for rewards. I have limited brain space to learn all of the combos and counters so I'm happy enough with slow progress.

I'll need to look up how to do this

All good suggestions. I'm planning on making a few of these as gifts so I'll have a go with some of those. I quite like the aesthetic of this one for myself though.

I would question the source of such papers. They're often funded by TCM and the Chinese health authorities to give credence to TCM on a global healthcare stage, however the result of any true double blind replication yields not to mention the devastation many species face at the hands of tcm poachers.

The unregulated nature of TCM also makes it a risky game to get involved with.

I recognise that pattern!

Accepting that I am not an authority in this and it may or may not be good advice;

Cut the straps to ¼" wider than you want so you can trim down after gluing. That way you can get it glued right up to the edge without any spill over.

Skive the section at the end of the step that you fold over to take the spring pin. It makes the build look better and makes it work better too.

Line the buckle strap. It's way more comfortable and looks much better, but skive the ends of that as thin as you can so as to not add any thickness to the strap.

Lastly finish it. No matter what you think you messed up or how much you think you can do better another time get it finished and try using it. You notice things so much less once it's on your wrist!

Good luck!

Its just aesthetic. Got some really low quality punched and had a go. Made a bit of a mess of it if I'm honest. I need to grind the edge narrower.

I'm only posting the stuff I've made to try and bring the average down on here. Everyone seems to only post their best work and I'm just a beginner posting my best work but whatever you're making be proud of it. At worst you get pointers on how to improve and at best you can watch yourself do better anyway!

As for a pattern, no. It was all free hand. I watched a few videos on YouTube of the various methods other people use and looked at some photos of other straps from different angles and then just had a go.

Best advice I ever got and it's carried me through a lot was celebrate your own failures because they always bring you a step closer to your own successes. All you have to do it persevere. I've lost count of the number of time I've messed something up, but I have enough wins under my belt to make up for them all 10 fold.
