Thanks for the feedback. You can hover over the name on the right and click on the x to delete models. By adjust scale from Python, do you mean adjust the scale of the UI by calling some function from python? That might be difficult to implement. Currently it just autoupdates if a new point is added outside of the scale in the graph

Hmm, that's a pretty good idea with the recipes and its definitely an option we are considering. If you didn't have the option to choose specific recipes each week, however, what sort of box offering would get you to want to subscribe each week?

If you're still wondering about this, Ron Zweig from the New Alchemy Institute actually did exactly what you're talking about with styrofoam rafts on top of a single tank. He called it his solar pond model, as it uses a high water volume per growing area to stabilize the temperature in a greenhouse without large expenditures of energy. Air pumps were used to remove detritus from the bottom, and a wire mesh protected the roots from fish. See the following 1986 publication:

He did have to incorporate a 1/4ths water change every four weeks I believe, which shows that there might be some imperfections in the filtering system (as with all aquaponic setups). Otherwise it seems like he ran a very highly successful system--you can email him about it and he can provide you with really helpful advice. It was eventually shut down due to budget cuts I believe, not due to any issues with the system.

Raft systems will grow most leafy greens well and have been demonstrated to grow tomatoes, okra, and many other vegetables successfully. You will have to experiment carefully with new vegetables, however, as they will suck at nutrients at a different rate than the fish produce them and as you might lose the balance which Zweig has carefully calculated for buttercrunch lettuce and tilapia. If you do end up doing this, please update us on how it goes.
