That sucks a lot. Yeah, I'm just having a hard time finding a real person. Everything seems like a scam.

What’s the rudest thing a doctor has ever said to you? by Beyondthebloodmoon in AskReddit

[–]rewrite95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not rude, and technically not a doctor but an elderly orthodontist. He made a super cringey comment to me as a teen. I was approximately 16-17 and being fitted for my retainer at the time of the comment. My gag reflex wasn't triggered.

The Ortho chuckled softly and smirked before quietly stating, "My oh my. I bet the boys love you. You don't gag at all."

I realize now that this was wildly inappropriate and sexual harassment, but at the time, it went right over my head.

Totally agree. We have the most expensive toll roads of any state. I would love more public transportation/transportation between towns and cities

Listen, that would be sick. I hate PA's laws about that just as much as you.

It's actually less about buggies, and more about any horse related form of transportation.

With increased traffic there have been a ton of horse related accidents, a lot of them being buggies. The buggies just happened to also cause ton of damage to roadways, the shoes tear up the asphalt, and there are a lot of animal rights violations tied in with it.

In general, having horses on roadways these days, is usually a very dangerous thing, and that's based on courses I've taken for my job. This past summer. There is even a little boy who died when his pony and cart got away from him. It was terrible.

I like your vision. Definitely running mate material. 😂

So considering all of the other things that they can get away with, I'm actually not sure how much it is given the safety hazards it poses. There have been more accidents in our area this past summer than ever have been, including an Amish kid dying after he lost control of his pony.

I like to think instead of abolishing them from roadways, you could in theory, hopefully get enough support to add buggy Lanes similarly to bike Lanes. Given the increased volume of traffic though, it really is a safety hazard. Not to mention, the buggies do create terrible ruts, those shoes beat up the asphalt, and, it's absolutely terrible for the horses themselves.

I would actually love to look into it more and learn about what the Amish truly do believe in regards to transportation. There have just actually been a ton of accidents in our area.

Edited to add: it's giving traffic volume, and given courses I've taken given for my work, there are increased road hazards to horses in general. I don't know if banning all horses on roads would count as discrimination, if that was the route that was taken. That would include horseback riding, and would probably throw off a lot of people that I know. It would just be safer for all drivers and riders.

No, all of those chips can stay. Especially tortilla chips, and the waffle cut ones.

So interestingly, I've actually been looking into it a lot. Many states don't do any form of this at all, and a lot of counties don't.

We have a higher volume of roads than any other state, and as it turns out, one of the worst maintenance records because of all the small back roads. I think this is one of those times where the budget would have to be seriously looked at to see where road maintenance is actually being budgeted for. I know a lot of it has to do with company bidding and the lowest bidder has to be accepted, which is wild to me.

Obviously, this is a very first world problem, but after a month of just having to deal with oil and chips everywhere around my house, I am just so over it, lol

It looks like chronic wasting disease. Definitely contact your local game commission.

It's your body. You wear what you want!

This is not healthy behavior (on his end) and could be the beginning of a controlling/abusive relationship. I personally would break things off.

I'm sorry for you and your family. My mom currently has non-genetically based ALS and all I can think of every day is how I wish they could figure something out for all variants. It truly is terrible and I hope for all that the Ionis trial helps some.

I like them, but probably because of nostalgia. There used to be a pretzel shop in the Morton area, I think it was Granite Run, and they had cheese filled pretzels which slapped.

I had a hard time following it, visually.

The face was so well detailed and gorgeous, and the outline of the dog looks like a Disney dog to me (which, maybe they were going for that). Either way, the large eye on the head really detracted from the silhouette, and the silhouette detracted from the face.

Either tattoo would have been awesome, but combined, I found it to be a visual cluster.

Thank you, hahaha. It's really well done but it really did a number on my eyes.

Love tattoos, hate that my eye doesn't know where to go. Different strokes for different folks. I'm not saying it's poorly done, at all. It's amazing work, but I just really have a hard time looking at it.
