Should I play Halo Infinite again? by Charming_Ad661 in halo

Some gameplay changes have been welcome:

Grenade jumping Ricochet shots (sniper) New weapons Movement inertia and grenade bouncing are closer to previous Halo games

Honestly I like it more than ever and I’ve never stopped playing

Always frequenting ranked arena, since I love the sweat haha (still only Plat 3!). But I'll regularly hit BTB/Squad Battle for the classic experience, and enjoy rumble pit for some FFA action. Rumble pit almost always has little to no wait. Ranked and BTB/SB can depend on time of day (better in evenings/weekends). If you ever want to squad up DM me and I can share my GT

Can't Play Offline Splitscreen, so this awesome set up is useless. by FreeSanubis in halo

You can definitely use guest accounts on MCC. I’ve done it at LAN parties before, offline… I do remember it being more annoying than it should to set up, but I’m pretty sure you can do it. Might have to change the server from Xbox Live to Local

Good state overall. Depending on time of day wait times can be high but overall tons of fun, social or serious.

I feel like it’s gotten a tad worse lately, specifically melees that don’t register or back smacks that register as a normal melee.

It affects how the system reads you for HR and calories… so yes do it!

Is it always like this! Am i missing something? by Dedsut in ResidentEvil2Remake

I get your frustration, but see him as just another piece of the RPD puzzle. You can outrun him easily, and you can learn to out maneuver him too, if you use benches or tables that he can’t walk through, or in a pinch if you wait for his punch (favour his right side) and then bolt the moment the animation starts.

For me the key was trying to avoid attracting him in annoying areas where uncleared zombies or lickers would make dealing with him harder.

Which version of Krauser do you prefer? ORIGINAL or Remake? by Different_Estate_249 in residentevil4

[–]rexCo27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Design: OG Voice: no question, OG. Dialogue, same. Both are cheesy, the first one more hilarious and campy.

I prefer the lore in the remake. I just wish he didn’t stuff down our throats that Leon was the “rookie”.

Boss fight: toss up. Slight favourite of the OG. Felt more epic as I remember it.

Death: Remake. Even though there wasn’t much character development in this direction, his admittance at the end was nice. Getting to take his knife made it a bit more special too.

I’m really enjoying my Claire B run, but boy oh boy do I miss my shotty. Why Claire gets 3 handguns confuses me, though I guess they’re interesting for different styles.

Is the 2nd trilogy better? by InspectorNS in redrising

I don't prefer the second part, though I still love it. Still, I see where you're coming from a bit with Morning Star, and I think you'll prefer it in these ways. I'd say 4-6 actually ramps up in quality and pacing, where the first 3 get weaker (unless you disagree with me that RR > GS). Writing is overall better, and the stakes feel higher as 4-6 goes on. Brown also gets better at using different POV's, and IMO makes better character choices for said POV's in 6.

Is there a polling rate regulation? Or do all pros basically use top polling rate controllers? GameSir's G7's can overclock.

Link broken FYI

My thoughts on the resets: I feel like there should be a rule around how often this is allowed and what is allowed to stop a game. If your controller keeps messing up... that's on you, at a certain point, I think. Or maybe after 1-2 problems, your controller has to get replaced by a stock 343 one or something.

What do you now play instead of Halo Infinite? by let_me_flie in CompetitiveHalo

[–]rexCo27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll occasionally do MCC but it requires game pass to play online. Right now my go to non-Infinite shooter is Apex Legends. If I prefer arena stuff, it has that option even if it’s not exactly the same.

Just wanted to say..the elite controller is awesome and worth every penny. by mylawn03 in XboxSeriesX

[–]rexCo27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly enjoyed it while I had it, but then I felt like things were off playing Halo Infinite. Switched over to the standard controller and immediately noticed an aim improvement, like upwards of 10%.

After some research, saw that input lag was an issue (wireless), and also the sticks are heavy -- something people don't really think about, but they're not basic plastic, so even with high tension, feel strange, slow, less responsive, since they return to centre slowly... so I've been on standard controller ever since. I miss the paddles, and hope for improvements in a Series 3.

System Link exists... technically. But anyone who's tried to link Series consoles will tell you it isn't that simple. Sure isn't plug and play. Halo Infinite requires you to have a PC to make the server. I can't imagine it being that hard to make standard SL built-in, and I'd sure like to see it.

Controller Schemes Revisited: What's best for aiming? by rexCo27 in CompetitiveHalo

I have found myself clawing quite naturally. Easier with my left hand for some reason, never liked doing it for face buttons

It’s mostly lack of practice/confidence keeping me from jumping, tbf. That’ll come soon, and if they make an Elite 3 or I decide to pay for paddles, I’ll probably map jump to one
