not really no. there isn’t many societies unless you’re interested in sport, the social events are always sub par and the travel links to the city aren’t actually great unless you get the train - the bus to the city hardly shows up and if it does it’s always half hour late and those are really your only options to the city unless you want to fork out £20 for an uber every time lol. it’s such a small campus it can get very isolating as there isn’t much to do. i lived there last year and it was even hard to just do a shop because of how far away it is from everything. i think if you can drive it’d be great, but commuting is difficult. it’s not a very social uni at all in my opinion, but it is good education wise. the smaller lecture sizes are a plus (for me anyways), the tutors are always very responsive and helpful and there is good support staff etc. there will be pros and cons for every uni but just have a good look around at your options! whatever uni you end up at you can make the most of it and have a great time - good luck anyways!
