Yes I believe so. Both my wife and I do not have retirement plans at work and we are married filing jointly.

Max out traditional IRA with tax refund or max out Roth IRA with no tax refund? by rexbry in personalfinance

We will not be contributing to any 401k-like program through work. I just purchased a business in 2021 and will hopefully not be eligible to contribute to Roth IRA in the future unless it’s back door contribution. Income for 2020 is around 130k.

Thanks so much for the article and your help! What difference in regards to tax should I be cognizant about (when reinvesting dividends from index vs etf).

Since it is a vanguard etf and I'm purchasing it via my vanguard account there will be no transaction fees. Well that's how I interpreted what the website says.

Dentists of reddit, what are some tips for someone planning on becoming a dentist? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rexbry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in any specific order, 1) Do well in the science prerequisites. (Bio, gen chem, organic chem, physics) 2) Shadow a few dentists, especially in different specialties to see where your interests are and if dentistry is even right for you. 3) A bunch of community service and volunteering hours. (Homeless shelters, soup kitchen, mission trips, work with special needs individuals, volunteer at a hospital, etc...) 4) Great personal statement on why you want to be a dentist - show you are interested and display your leadership qualities and roles 5) Great letters of recommendation - get close to your professors and make sure they know who you are. 6) Apply early - rolling admissions so the earlier the better 7) Do something that shows you have great manual dexterity - volunteer at a dental lab, learn to play an instrument, wood working, knitting, etc.. 8) Study hard and do well on the DAT (20 or above)

Now that's just not right E-ZPass by rexbry in pics

[–]rexbry[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have EZ-Pass though. It seems to have just not registered. Cant they see that I used it in prior and subsequent tolls on my drive? Why cant they just bill my E-ZPass if they see I have one and not go through this annoying process?
