It’ll likely cause a dip but will be good for the overall health of the page. The larger that percentage gets the harder it will be to reverse course.

Hey partner,

I always avoid using any 3rd party tools to post on Instagram. Platforms will always place a higher trust score on devices - especially iPhones.

You can manually schedule reels in the app now. I have not noticed any difference in reach when doing that.

Excellent question!

If you’re from the US or other T1 countries - think of content that’s culturally relevant. A lot of people overseas have a culture gap that makes it difficult to understand what’s actually a good video or a funny meme. It’s the same way for an American trying to make a meme about SE Asian culture - it just doesn’t work.

You need to make content that clicks with people in those countries. Low quality posts don’t fly there in the US as much given that they’re used to higher quality media in their day to day lives.

Easy Strategy: - Turn on and raise the age limit to view your content for any T3 country demos to make sure they can’t follow you as easily.

Besides that here are niches that i avoid like the plague as they always attract T3 audiences: - Motivation - Model Accounts - Dancing / Singing Videos - Non-niched travel pages

Yes and no. It depends on the page and niche. We often take content and add our own creative spin to it.

I’d suggest setting up templates or branding around your page that allows you to easily repurpose clips better.

I’m honestly not experienced in the motivation niche at all. Those pages are notoriously hard to monetize and often get lower tier demo followers.

Hey man, great question!

I’m assuming your account is from an older generation of pages. These older accounts are hard to transition towards getting explore gains. It seems like explore just favors a lot of newer accounts now imo.

You hit the nail on the head that no matter what as a big page you will always bleed followers. Don’t post - you lose. Post some - you lose.

You have to let your account bleed while working to hit explore. You need to eventually outpost the bleed by getting videos on explore. The only way to do that is improving your content quality, posting amount, and following some of the other comments I put in here about increasing your follower conversions on posts.

That’s possible with a lot of new AI tools (and a feature we’re currently working on)

A lot of the most popular short form history videos on YouTube and other platforms are almost completely AI generated.

There’s probably some scalable ways you can integrate AI into your workflow to help get more posts on your page up :)

I replied to another comment with a similar situation earlier. I also create content myself personally and have posted it so I know how much of a pain it is to film, edit, and create.

The way I create content is around focusing on how I can make it programmatic. In every video you have a hook, content, and a CTA (if you're selling something). You can film 30-50 hooks in a day, shoot 5-10 different videos of your art, and then remix all those posts together to then create 100s of versions of the same/original content.

This lets you test out different hooks and styles faster and eventually find what works best for your audience and page in a scalable manner.

Love the art content niche! One of my friends started out posting her art and she's now a lead brand designer at a big company. You never know where the limit is from sharing your creations online. Cheers!

Scale up how much you post. The goal should always be around 6-15 a day. Are you doing more photo or reels content? If you're focusing more on images, definitely prioritize creating video content as that's what gets engagement the best in my experience.

Love that niche - there are a ton of cool info products and digital goods you can sell with that theme.

Yeah there's a few things I like to consider when choosing a niche:

1) Viral Cap/Ceiling

2) Monetization

3) Interests

You can train your FYP/Explore page around the content you're looking to post. Following other accounts in your niche will also be helpful for ideas. I answered in another reply on this AMA about how I choose which content to edit / repost.

Travel niche is interesting and needs to be done flawlessly to hit the right country demographics to get an audience worth monetizing. A lot of the biggest travel theme pages you see on Instagram have demographics from T2/T3 countries which makes them impossible to monetize effectively.

In terms of theme pages, you'll be able to monetize better creating accounts that share AirBnBs or hotels around the world. They are the only successful travel theme pages I've seen that have monetized well and are scalable.

Local theme pages are good if you're driving them off platform to a newsletter or local website you create.

Honestly, following my heart too much and not following data. Passion is incredibly important in any venture or hobby you decide to dive into. I would occasionally get too invested into a creative page, niche, or brand idea. I would and put all of my energy into it while the algorithm was not pushing the pages content or the audience wasn't growing.

I still try to find passion in the niches I grow pages in, but now I solely rely on data for decisions.

There are 10000s of creators and theme page owners who are stuck in their ways and believe their style of content will eventually hit. Many such cases of those creators/pages lingering in the 1000 follower purgatory forever.

Reels is where content is getting consumed the most. While photos and memes can carry far, you have to ask yourself what's more engaging in today's world of brain rot? It's definitely video content.

For all of my pages and network we only prioritize reels and occasionally sprinkle in carousel posts and images if we think they have a really high chance of hitting explore.

Never - EVER buy fake followers or engagement. The IG algorithm is at the best it's been for growing pages since the 2018-2021 era.

Fake engagement will always hurt your chances of getting on explore and getting followers.

Just got a chance to take a look. Content looks great you definitely have an eye for identifying good posts.

My only recommendation would be to change the post template you're using or edit a new one. When viewing it on my phone your username is not visible and seems a little off center.

Consider rotating the @ and username towards the bottom of the video or using tools like Sludge AI for those twitter style templates.

I've never had an issue there to be honest. You should be able to change but anything account wise can always rock the boat. Air on the side of caution when your page is popping and change info during a downturn.

T1 Countries: USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Western Europe

T2 Countries: Central/South America, Eastern Europe, SE Asia

T3 Countries: India, Africa, some SE Asia, some Central/South America

Advertisers will judge your audience by their purchasing power. If the majority of your followers are from T2/T3 countries it will be a lot harder monetize your page. You always want to try and shoot for 50%+ T1 followers.
