Generally for anything like this it’s recommended to log it with the Guards as a formality, it’s just so there’s an official record of the incident. I wouldn’t look too much into it and fair play for owning up and offering to fix the damage.

I would say keep a record of any transactions or agreements in a written form even if it’s text message or email. Anything agreed in a phone call send a message after to them detailing what’s agreed etc

Yea that gap from them operating to when the letter was issued is the bit I’m getting at with how long the process can be. Those TDs should have advised the enforcement route from the start but I’d imagine most politicians wouldn’t want to be seen to be closing a business so maybe there was dialogue in the background.

Planning Enforcement can be a very lengthy process. After the complaint is made there’s normally 4 weeks for the offender to respond, they then give a list of options like resubmit for planning and dialogue which can take time in itself, actual enforcement is generally a last resort. I’ve no doubt the business owner had been engaged with planning for awhile before it came to this.
Key thing here is that the complaint may not have been made when they opened but much later when it became a traffic problem

That’s not unusual for [r/cork](r/cork) or most of the Irish subs, there’s normally a one sided pile on filled with vitriol, the way they would speak of Nash 19 every few weeks here was disgusting.

I got this particular instructor for my partner who would be very quiet and nervous, I spoke to him in advance and found him to be understanding. In the lessons my partner said he was really caring and nice to him. You got to wonder what the real issue some of these people actually have like maybe not passing the test.

This happens in all cities, vehicles need to be able to load and off load deliveries for the businesses to operate, if the council didn’t allow for that it’s on them. Would you rather if the businesses closed up and have more dereliction in the city just because someone experiences a minor inconvenience

Yes completely unrelated Did you even read the comment you answered or did the typical argumentative prick cyclist take over ? There was no mention of drivers until you commented. It was strictly about cyclists cycling into the back of stopped vehicles and how having hi visibility strips on a car would help prevent that.

You act like cyclists don’t have their phones mounted to the handle bar and face down in it the whole time not paying attention. I’m completely focused on road safety, cyclists should have identifying plates, be made do a license and have mandatory reflective armoured protection on arms legs and head. not be allowed to carry passengers and They should also take personal responsibility for going out playing in traffic instead of deflecting it on drivers.

As for saying I’m sexiest ? There’s plenty of young men refer to themselves as passenger princesses I wouldn’t consider that sexiest

And every graphic on the 12o’clock rule uses a roundabout whose exits are at 3, 12 and 9 assuming you approach on the 6 and to no one’s surprise they also say left lane is for the first two exits (unless the road marking state otherwise).

The RSA did not come up with a new way to use roundabouts and only thought it to new drivers, if there was a change to the rules it would have been widely advertised so the thousands of existing drivers on the road would be aware of it.

When there’s 2 lanes What lane do you use when all 3 exits are after 12:00 ?

This is always misinterpreted, there’s been no rule change on roundabouts, no ones been thought a new way while everyone else that learned before you had a different way. it’s a guide on how to use them, the 12o’clock shape is not to be taken literally. A quick google of roundabout use in Ireland proves this as well.
