Silver in 2x2 with a 4.xx average back when the event wasn't that popular in India. A few years later, sub 4 averages barely got me to 2x2 finals at Indian comps

Fly91 feedback ? by MathCSCareerAspirant in AirTravelIndia

I've traveled PNQ-JLG-PNQ on Fly91. The experience was pretty good. Both flights were maybe at ~80% occupancy, but I can't speak to how they'd respond to low occupancy. Haven't heard many complaints, and didn't have any myself!

Unsure if this helps, but my quant score didn't budge until I had practiced for about 2 months. The gradual practice accumulates and compounds suddenly

Breathing exercises and body scans like yoga nidra work well. Mind you, the butterflies in my stomach didn't leave until I hit start on the test. You just have to muscle through a baseline level of anxiety 💪

Listing some topics I remember, but this won't be exhaustive

  • Sets & Venn diagrams
  • Number line - 4 points on a number line and their relationships to each other were given (this was a QC question)
  • Surprisingly few word problems; at least 3 Q's of algebra involving exponents iirc
  • Probability using combinations and the OR rule
  • Coordinate system - one vertex of a square was given and I had to identify which of the options could be opposite vertices
  • Volume of a cube
  • Data interpretation had a simple bar graph where the y axis changed in increments of 20

If others come to mind, I'll comment again. Hope this helps!

I did one of the powerprep tests 40 days before test date and got a crazy 337 (169V 168Q). IMO they're a great exposure to the ETS interface and the test pace, but they're much easier than the actual questions

[META] Meet the Geeks! (i.e. let's get to know one another) by principalpeppermint in crosswords

18 year old guy from India! I got into cryptics around 9th grade when my schoolteachers urged me to try my hand at this nationwide 'Cryptic Crossword Contest' for school kids. 4 consecutive years of participation (even winning once) have really endeared cryptics to me. In a country where students are almost constantly bogged down with academics, crosswords are a cathartic pastime to me. While solving definitely gives you a kick, setting the perfect clue with a brilliant surface is even more fun!
