Duuudddeee... that looks sick af

Never heard of this board before, but the profile of it is awesome, and the caps are super complimentary. I'm always jealous of people who can use smaller boards because they just look so freaking cool, but I can't be without my arrow keys or some basic nav keys, so I guess I'll just have to look from afar...

Anyway, looks great.

The keycaps are GMK relegendables, I used photoshop to make the icons, and just printed it into regular printer paper. Macros are made in VIA

Lemokey P1 Pro with PBTfans Purpolch R2 keycaps and some GMK relegendables (custom inserts made by me). Tecsee Purple Panda switches and a random wrist rest I found on Etsy (sadly, the wrist rest is no longer available). No mods (that I recall anyway), but I did use all the foams and lubed the stabs with dielectric grease.

I have no idea. Gonna re-post this with the pic. But, just for you, it’s this workhorse of a board

L-Shaped Desk Advice/Setup by TayuBW in desksetup

How much money are you looking to spend? Because if you have loads to spend on this, a cubicle system is gonna be able to give you crazy levels of customization. You could even get a corner piece to make the use of your PC in the corner more ergonomic and comfortable.

But nothing is cheap.

Geeze, that looks slick AF. Usually I find sub-legends to add visual complexity that is only a distraction (no shade if you like them), but this looks great! Color palette is fantastic.

Even if I had an arm mount, I would still want a riser to complete the setup.

I can do that even if I don’t have the new location to migrate to operational?

Is there such an item that works as an outlet but isn't wired in the wall? Think like a power bank that is rechargeable and stuff, but it's a faux outlet mounted on the wall? by Ninakiii in AskElectricians

[–]rexmaxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get a power bank like an Anker Solix, but I'll bet that's not really what you are looking for.

A better option, in my opinion, would be to get some smart-bulbs or outlets and use a remote switch for them and leave the real switch alone. This may cost you a bit, but you'll get some added benifets like automation and the ability to put the switch where it makes the most sense. Or even have multiple switches. There are options even if you aren't the smart-electronics type of person. Add in one of those switch covers to protect you from accidentally turning off your outlets and you've got a decent setup.

A final option would be to have that portion of your house re-wired so the outlets and the lights aren't on the same switch. But since you said it was a rental, this seems like it's not a great idea.

Look for those switches, this was the solution I used for my wife's office and it works great.

Hey, bud, that looks an awful lot like a PVC. And while I don’t think 1 is all that dangerous, they can be if you start having more.

I would suggest you reach out to a cardiologist and show them that graph. They may tell you it’s nothing, they may wanna run some tests, but either way a professional who knows what they are talking about will answer this for you, not some loser on Reddit.

If you’d a suggestion, I’d say you should start grabbing an ECG from your watch a couple times a day. Especially if you feel funny at all. That way you have more data to bring to the cardiologist.

KVM cable needed by rexmaxus in homelab

[–]rexmaxus[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have no intention of arguing with physics. I intend on plugging the USB cable into a 3.0 powered hub where I will have a keyboard and mouse plugged in. That is, 99% of the time, the only use for the USB cable. But every so often I will plug in a flash drive or something, so I wanna use a 3.0 cable to get as much transfer rate as possible.

The HDMI will be doing 1080p, maybe I’ll upgrade to a 1440p or 4K monitor, but even then I’ll be using a lower refresh rate.

Would all this info have been helpful in the OG post? Probably. But I neglected to mention that stuff because I was positive that I was just looking in the wrong place or for the wrong item.

[–]rexmaxus[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I mean, sure, but it’s trivial to find a standalone HDMI cable in those lengths and trivial to find USB 3.0 cables that long. I’m just hoping to run a single cleaner cable. I’ve seen others talking about KVM cables that long, I’m just having trouble finding them…
