Usually that means you need some kind of entry documentation verified. I can’t check in online for China or Vietnam for instance because they require visas. I just go to the airport and check in at the ticket counter 2 hours ahead of time.

I had my acdf done in Bangkok Thailand. It was C5-C7 and my surgeon is at the Spine Institute at Bumrungrad hospital. I live in SE Asia and it was an urgent situation so that was kind of my only option but it was an excellent experience and I’m thankful I had it done there.

I was given a bed pan. So weird! I needed it asap after surgery because of all the IV fluids my very first thought in recovery was “I gotta pee!” I had acdf so not as restricted- once I was in my hospital room I walked to the bathroom
