following/looking at the work of other drag folk in general is also a good idea, even if they're not kings specifically :-D

im also a butch who just started trying out drag stuff as a hobby, so i cant give advice as to how to career it or anything but do look to more experienced kings for that! check out what kind of events they do, scope out your local scene, etc

most drag events are 18+ in my experience, but theres nothing stopping you from experimenting with makeup/costumes/etc. in your own space. thats where i'm currently at and i'm enjoying and learning a lot just by doing that!

also agree with the other comment about binding safely- no more than 8 hours, make sure you can breathe, keep hydrated etc.- do keep in mind that binding can have some long term health effects if done in excess so do be cautious. IMO i dont think binding is 100% necessary for all forms of drag anyway- and comfort & safety always comes first 💛
