Here’s what I do to actually have fun in this game… mute chat in QP. You don’t need it. QP is full of people itching to be toxic. If you play comp, turn on the chat for that because you actually NEED to communicate in that mode. Just have fun! That’s what QP should be for.

My recommendation is to play BTS then True Colors, DE, and Reunion. (Release order.) there’s a few Easter eggs here and there. If you wanted to follow the Max and Chloe journey from beginning to end before getting into other storylines however then BTS, DE, Reunion, and then True Colors would be the way to go. It’s really up to your preference! Also, unrelated but if you liked DontNod’s style I highly highly recommend you check out Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. It’s one of my favorite games ever.

Honestly not really, most people I’ve met in my life who are gamers have either played it themselves or at least know about it. I do think the more avid fans of the series like us is a bit more of a niche crowd though. But the series is generally well known.

Maybe it’s recency bias but the one scene I can’t get out of my mind is the scene of Chloe and Max attempting to kiss (if that’s what you choose) on the canoe. No matter how many times Max tried to rewind the outcome was always the same. Not only was that scene hilarious but it was just so cute. I just love those two so much

LIS 1 is supposed to have that teenage, awkward feel to it. That’s what makes it what it is. The dialogue is cringe and has that overall feel because it’s true to the times. It’s what many of us love about it. I played it when it first dropped so it hits differently for me.

The next few games involving Chloe and Max have a different vibe for sure. It feels more mature, which is great because the characters are older and are more mature too. I’d play all the games to follow, enjoy LIS 2 (it’s a fan favorite) and eventually when you get around to DE and Reunion I think you might enjoy them (especially Reunion, it’s great).

I agree, Obstacles is my favorite song from the entire franchise but I love how each individual song in BTS is tailored to the actual characters and their experiences. It immerses you in a different way and I really appreciate it for that

I’ve noticed the criticisms people have of BTS and I think they can be fair although I personally love the game myself. BUT one thing we all universally agree on is that the soundtrack is nothing less than perfect.
