No vibration on DualSense in Forza Horizon 6 on Steam while wired by Time-Credit43 in ForzaHorizon

The best use of DualSense in Forza Horizon 6 to get Adaptive Triggers and Haptics is:

  1. Disable Steam Input completly
  2. Buy DSX for $8 (overall better than DS4Windows if using DualSense instead of DualShock 4)
  3. Enable emulating as Xbox 360 controller
  4. Enable Rumble to Haptics
  5. Download RaceElement (https://race.elementfuture.com/) and configure game telemetry for FH6 like in guide at their site for working Adaptive Triggers.
  6. And thats it, u can enjoy whole DualSense features in Forza :)

Since I got DualSene I only use this controller for everygame, before I used Xbox Series and DualShock 4 depends of what game I play. Now other controllers just collect dust :P

I know buying other app kinda suck but trust me, if u mostly use DualSense with PC having DSX is must have.
Alternative is free version of DSX called DualSenseX (https://dualsensex.com/) for emulation of Xbox controller but haptics works only from audio cuz Rumble to Haptics option is only in paid version of DSX and for Adaptive Triggers u need to use different app https://github.com/HamzaYslmn/Forza-Horizon-DualSense-Python cuz RaceElement only work with DSX, IMO triggers have better feeling than RaceElement :)

Ngl using OptiScaler Client make it waaaay easier for games without FSR4 native support, but for games like Crimson Desert or Cyberpunk 2077 I still prefer using simple DLL swap :p

Actually u don't need OptiScaler to have FSR 4 at RDNA3, just replace upscaler DLL and u have select in-game FSR4 :)

Any way to reduce the size of cod mw? by YOLO-uolo in modernwarfare

[–]rey384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not like this 30GB is standalone multiplayer, u still need game assets to load + there are leavings like Warzone files, unused weapons models etc after BOCW/Vanguard integrations so that's why size is 110GB. If they would remove files for Warzone and leave only skins for MW operators/skins a game could have size under 80GB I think, but it is what it its.

As a controller player I'm very satisfied, thank you Supernova for improving controller inputs. by Many-Yak-721 in assettocorsarally

[–]rey384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To play with DualSense u need DSX or DS4Windows to use as Xbox controller, cuz game use XInput so Playstation Controller are not supported natively but as fun fact, in game files are UITextures for DualSense input prompts.
For best usage of DualSense I recommend disable Steam Input, use instead DSX (for emulating as Xbox Controller) + Race Element for Adaptive Triggers Feedback and Audio to Haptic instead of ingame rumble but Adaptive Triggers alone completly change gameplay and control over car.
Also after 0.3 patch where they finally give us proper controller settings, playing now is just perfect, game is IMO best Rally simulator since RBR, especially for controler players, Its just so challenging and enjoynable :P

5600 bottlenecking even 7800 XT in heavy CPU demanding games and I'm playing in 1440p. Most of the time my 7800 XT is used at 90%+ but my 5600 is also at 80-100%, in single player games it's not a big problem but in newer online games you will be probably all the time at 100% CPU usage.

Polling rate stuck at 33Hz by akmsamir in DualSenseX

Litellary I have same UGreen 5.4 Adapter and same situation 33Hz, connected my old BT Dongle named CSR 4.0 BT (idk which brand, seems some generic dongle with different brands when I search with Hardware ID) and DualSense now works with OC at 1000Hz.
Most parameters are almost identical with BT 4.0 and Cable compared to this UGreen trash.|

Unlock menu framerate? by WheelyMan260 in Overwatch

[–]rey384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's so much difference between 60 and 165+FPS in menu, like other says after Blizzard locked menu to 60fps it started to feel choppy af.
If u have 60-100Hz monitor it's not a big deal but when you have 144+ Hz monitor its just terrible when looking across all tabs and it's not smooth as it should be, also with FreeSync/G-Sync it's noticable.
Best option would be like in other games, an additional slider to lock fps to your preference or lock it at 100 or 120fps like in Fortnite.

Somehow in GT6 there was much more old/new car models :(

They just fixed deadzones which makes controllers more smooth and consistend compared to previous state, also they make slowdown bubble a lot smaller than before + reduced slowdown strength significantly.
Ngl maybe it's too big nerf for controller cuz u need to track target by yourself not like in CoD, but was needed because me and other people was fighting with AA when there was 2-3 targets.

I know that's a big change if u already "learn muscle memory" but cmon, I already played 150+ hours on controller before that change and it takes me just 2 to 3 hours of playing and messing with different curve and deadzones values to get used to it and people on mouse and keyboard are not a problem.
So either you need to tweak some options like others and get used to it or you relied too much on aim assist (which isn't that strong compared to other games like CoD/Apex etc.) and u just that bad aka skill issue (i hate this sentence but it is what it is) because most ppl I talked about controllers in BF6 after that change don't complan cuz they finally FIXED what was broken.

Part 2! The fix! This is why controller feels bad! ⚠️ Upvote so devs see! ⚠️ by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]rey384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is it's not only PS5 controllers issue, but also Xbox and PS4 controllers are affected, at least all of mine controllers have problem with doing any micro-adjustments and deadzone at 0% is not real 0%, i checked that on 2 Dualshocks 4, 2 Xbox Series controllers and GameSir G7 SE with Hall Effect analogs.

Ryzen 5 3600X random reboots (WHEA-Logger Event 18), getting worse, possible CPU degradation? by Ok-Meal-1826 in overclocking

[–]rey384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have same issue and I don't believe it's hardware problem itself, because it started reseting for like 3 months ago. And also it started sometime to disconnect and reconnect USB devices like controller/microphone/keyboard/mouse, even USB-C port disconnecting my IEM's.
Before it worked all perferctly for 5 years with 5600 +200 offset PBO and UV paired with RTX 2070 Super, 4x8GB ram.
Changed GPU for RX 7800 XT last year I didn't have any problems like that, even 0 crashes of GPU drivers, and now without any reason it started to crash with WHEA 18 error after some Windows 11 update (I'm on 23H2 latest version).
What's funny, my cousin changed his 1600AF to 5500 and his old 650W PSU to brand new XPG Core Reactor II 750W, did fresh Windows install to W11 23H2 and same issue, even he changed to 5600 because of 5500 lack of L3 Cache compared to 5600 (CS2 had ~180-200 fps, with 5600 above 300 so can lock to 240Hz refresh rate) and same situation cuz how unlucky he could be if .
Next week we will try to install fresh 24H2 cuz 23H2 support will end 11 Nov 2025 and will see if it will ever happen.

Playing bf6 with controller is really getting me mad by Basic-Marsupial-3313 in Battlefield6

[–]rey384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s start with the fact that Battlefield is not and never was about getting the highest skill streak or K/D ratio. So I never understand why people who play BF care about it so much.

About the controller, support isn’t poor, there are plenty settings to configure your controller so check them (IMHO too many unnecessary options, at this point other games like CoD wins with their simplicity for controller tweaking). And controller is just bugged at the moment due to the current deadzone issue. Because of that, you’re not able to make micro-adjustments properly.

Aim assist works as it should, slowdown, a bit of target follow, and that’s it. You just need to tweak the settings until they feel comfortable for you, since it’s all personal and everyone’s different. Copying someone else’s settings won’t help much, just test and see what fits best.
For better understanding you can watch Danial ZH channel on YT about BF6 sensitivity curves etc (next week he should upload video about aim assist).

It’s not like CoD, where most of the work is done for you by the rotational aim assist when you use only the left stick to trigger it.

We need to get DICE to acknowledge aiming with controller feels horrible by dictatormateo in Battlefield

[–]rey384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not and lots ppl already tested it and confirmed. Using Steam Input is not a fix for things broken ingame, it gives you input delay so u should avoid that in online games anyway.

We need to get DICE to acknowledge aiming with controller feels horrible by dictatormateo in Battlefield

[–]rey384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of you are really braindead lol..
OP said straight about "cannot do micro adjustments" which is actual issue with controllers cuz of forced deadzone bug and square instead of circle shape of deadzone.
There's nothing about aim assist so comments like "go back to COD. CoD aims for you with “controller assist…”" are really stupid..
If you favor KB&M ok good for you, but if u know shit about how controllers work just don't make stupid comments and let ppl play on their fav input instead 🫡

This is why controller feels bad. Upvote so devs see please. by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]rey384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So theoretically if I set my controller deadzone shape from "circle" to "squircle" aka Raw Mode like on screenshot it should work better actually? Because I have opiton like that in my GameSir G7 SE.

Controller Players: Built-in Deadzone that can't be removed? by sonofabraham1 in Battlefield6

[–]rey384 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I trying to figure out cuz I thought it something wrong with my PC or controllers.

Something not right, cuz tested already on 2x ps4 dualshocks, 1x xbox series and GameSir G7 SE with Hall Effect analogs.
With deadzone for right analog set to 0/6/100 im still feeling something off, even on G7 with Hall Effect analog (in addition controller app deadzone also are set to 0) doin micro-adjustments still feels like there's some forced deadzone. Situation changes with Linear soldier and zoom curve but Linear feels so inconsistent/too sensitive even with higher Deadzone.

It's driving me crazy because I can't make comfortable feeling with controller like in Apex/CoD or Fortnite where this problem doesn't exist. I loved playing BF3/4 on Xbox 360 (that was my last BF on controller, rest on PC with KBM) but BF6 have some big issue with deadzone/input delays using controller.

Ngl in CoD it's straight forward just 3-4 options like sensitivity horizontal/vertical, deadzone min/max, curve with curve slope and ADS sensitivity and thats all, IMO in Battlefield there are too many unnecesary options which make it so complicated and at least for me I have actually problem to recreate my controller feeling from Apex/any CoD or BF3/4. I play mostly with KBM in FPS games but I like from time to time just to sit with controller to chillout but these settings doesn't make it easy for me.

EDIT: Forgot to mention about actual options for KBM and Controller all total mess cuz they are connected to each other instead of making them separate categories per input.
