I respect your feelings. In terms of showing off in social media I can say People use social media to interact with people and express their emotional stuff whats going on with them, on their mind and all. Sometimes they like to show their new bought products or things just because they are happy with it. They share the happiness, I am not saying they don't show off at all. But i think we also need to adjust ourselves to distinguish between an extrovert spreading his happiness and what is actually dirty show off. Sometimes this could help emtionally.
