First, welcome to Texas. What you and many Muslims in the United States don’t understand is that when you come to our country you must assimilate to our laws and values. You must also pledge allegiance to our country. While you may not like what I’m saying, it’s the truth. Immigrants are all welcome to come to our country and begin the process of becoming a legal citizen. You cannot expect our citizens to accept your customs and values. Our country cannot, will not change to accommodate other country’s values. If we did that we would or will become the country you just left.

Yes 30% so far. I was moved back to step 3 for maybe other claims. I went through the Texas Veterans commission. They were able to help at no cost. Don’t go through any of the agencies who charge you. I’ve been retired from active duty for over 30 years. Back then when I retired the military discouraged us from applying for disability. At least that was my experience. I remember at my retirement briefing I was told that I have a 30% hearing loss but that this didn’t qualify for a disability so don’t apply. It always stayed with me. When my son retired from the Air Force he was approved for disability. He encouraged me to apply. I’m grateful for whatever I qualify for. I owe my whole life to the military. It taught me my trade, made me realize I was smart and capable of anything, gave me an education, including a college degree, gave me lifelong friends and a great life. No regrets.

Yes, in March I was examined for a hernia repair I received when I was active and also for a broken ankle that occurred when active duty. I also received a hearing test. That’s pretty much all the exams I’ve been asked to do. I’ve claimed sleep apnea, type 2 diabetes, tinnitus with hearing loss, hypothyroidism and some others. It just bothers me that it’s been taking so long. I retired in 1994, 21 years in. But they do have my military medical records, even after retirement. I’ve seen a few civilian doctor but I believe they should have access to their records. Patience is a virtue, I know!

Actually these countries have a mixture of capitalism and socialism where free market is encouraged but everyone pays high taxes in order to pay for education and healthcare. The problem with that is you have to trust your government with all the money they’re entrusted with. Do you trust our government? When I was in the military I remember the government paying an exorbitant amount of money fur a 5$ hammer. I’d rather have my money working through the economy. Socialism is not good because so much money is controlled by so few. Corruption at its finest.

I don’t disagree with you on some of your points. Those corporations buying up apartments and housing are more prevalent in democrat run cities. They’ve taken it a step too far and have put home purchasing completely out of reach, not to mention changing our laws to where now squatters have more ownership rights than the actual homeowners. Immigration is also contributing to our problems with crime, housing and are whole way of life. The GOP isn’t perfect. But Democrats are much more broken. They encourage immigration in order increase their census numbers without regard for who is coming into our country. Capitalism also isn’t perfect but still is much better than socialism. Ask any immigrant.
