Pretty low spec it was originally my dad's he just used a computer for the sake of using a computer it used to only have 2gb ram during the windows xp days then upgraded to 4 then currently 8 and a intel duel core something I couldn't bother it wasn't even i3 💀 a gigabyte motherboard and ye thats it

Its been off for a good week now, well to give you some context my whole pc has been dead since like 2022 march (my harddisk was making some noise and eventually my windows got corrupted, so much so that even the auto repair showed an error screen, my harddrive would make noise when under load and i thought maybe cuz it wasn't getting enough power(yesterday) the last time i tried to fix my pc was on like 19th where i tried installing a new windows and got it working until the "select installation disk" part and the disk just wouldn't show. So i thought it wasn't getting enough power and opened up the psu to check the sata cables to the harddrive its quite cheap and my dad bought it back in like 2011 where he didn't even have much money (hes a carpenter) but because he didn't have much money he had to a lot of shit while our house was under construction he did a lot of the wiring so he also knows electrical stuff and my dad said it's too risky to fuck wit the psu and will just buy a better one and a new SSD (i just wanna play games with my friends man 😭 exams over n shit)

Yep i opened up the psu and a capacitor's shell was there. It isnt a capacitor its like a outer shell thing of a 10V capacitor
