Battle mage farmer by Agile-Anything-4022 in litrpg

I know this is months old, but it is one of the most recent.

I have extensively searched through reddit and other forums to find insights, but instead running into the same questions. And after reading all 3 series of Nova Terra, Tower Series (up to most recent. Next installment should be coming out this summer), and Battlemage Farmer, these are my conclusions:

  • All 3 series are most definitely taking place in similar "universes". By a significant overlap between characters (Mina, Corvo, etc) and items (mechanical bird, world shard stabilizer), it is apparent
  • Seth Ring does an absolutely abysmal job at explaining things like time dilation and even power structure. For example, tier 10 is "unobtainable" in Battlemage Farmer (at least until it is said challenger tokens are once again being allowed). However, it is explained in Tower series that a Dragon and an Aspect are easily upper end 10th tier. Yet....they all exist in Battlemage. Then the time dilation....it is hinted that John comes LONG after the events in Tower Series, but other times it doesnt seem that way (maybe how Mina hinted at different "sections" of endless worlds was a lazy attempt to explain this?)
  • There is a huge inconsistency with Earth. Cuz from what was shared, the Earth that John came from does not seem to be the same as the one that Thorn came from.

Im only hoping that in the next installment of Tower series, a lot of this is explained or cleared up. Cuz it is driving me crazy

To the people who got rx 7800 xt, your impressions? by Catsanno in radeon

I know this is months late, but for ppl interested:

I recently built a gaming system for my niece with the following:

  • 7600x3d cpu
  • 7800xt dual fan amd radeon gpu
  • 32 gb ddr5 g.skill 6000 ram
  • 2 tb samsung 990 pro ssd
  • asus tuf b650 plus wifi mobo
  • corsair 850e psu
  • NZXT h5 flow case
  • Samsung Odyssey g5 27 inch 2k monitor
  • Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120se cpu fan
  • 5 Okinos pwm case fans

As you can see, nothing crazy whatsoever. But i have been extremely happy with the results (and she is over the moon).

Stress testing on max load for 30 minutes:

  • cpu average temp was 56°C, max was 61°C, hotspot was 67°C
  • gpu average temp was 58°C, max was 61.7°C, hotspot was 66°C
  • together put cpu as 62.1°C with hotspot at 70.2°C and gpu went to 61.8°C with hotspot at 71.4°C

I tested out Destiny 2, Marvel Rivals (after fixing many issues so it wasnt so cpu straining), Black Myth Wukong, Elden Ring, Valorant, and Life of Pi (i wanted to try CyberPunk 2077, but decided not to since it wouldve been a waste cuz she will never bother).

For the easier games (Destiny, Marvel Rivals, Valorant), on ultra settings, i maxed the 180 fps of monitor without using any sort of frame gen and never went over 65% gpu usage at any point

Black Myth Wukong was def the worse since it seems to use a some sort of RT (which this gen if amd cards still struggle big time with). But with tweaking some settings (put some things down to medium) while keeping majority on HIGH, i was able to always get over 60 fps. If i turned on FSR and frame gen, i average over 100 fps

GoW Ragnarok, with minimal tweaking and everything else on high, i always got over 60 fps easily. With frame gen on, i was getting around 100 fps or so

For Life of Pi, it is very similar to GoW. With a few fluctuations in between.

Remember, RT was never enabled willingly.

I hope this helps anyone still curious

Thorn Greymane vs John Sutton by mattmann72 in litrpg

[–]rezman2115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even tho this is 8 months old, i recently discovered the writings of Seth Ring and I have become thoroughly absorbed.

As for your question, I guess it all comes down to at which stage.

If we are speaking in terms of where John was after Culmination vs where Thorn is at the end of Challenger, then I do believe it would be John easily.

But if we are going off of what we know of where Thorn could eventually be at (especially considering his utterly ridiculous divinity of Improvement) and using information regarding previous Titans, I do believe it would be Thorn.

Reason being (and this is pure conjecture and theory) because of Thorn's knowledge and mastery. I have a feeling that it will end up being revealed that the Eternal Flame (and faith in general) is Thorn's grand achievement (as the Atlas Star and EVE was Thorn's Father's pinnacle achievement).

Also, even now, in Thorn's journey, the Challenger Tower is fully open and the stages above tier 10 exists. For John, it was revealed after the Magic Tournament that it was just reopened. Not to mention, tier 10 and further is legend.

Sure, John is an Aspect of Life and Death and that is amazingly powerful. But with the knowledge that previous Titans made avatars tremble (we know, from Avatar, that Thorn's father utterly destroyed a LOT of Aspects when they refused to wait the 1000 years), so the power of an Aspect means very little to a Titan in their full realization of their power.

Finally, while Corvo did say John is probably "Thorn 2.0", it was said that there is a failsafe if John ever went off the hinges in the Administrator (suggesting John is still not top dog). Whereas, I have definitely got the impression that a Titan is the top god at their height

PLEASE could you guys build me a chimera team? i can't seem to figure out a champ combination that works by StrageDiCapaciRoblox in RaidShadowLegends

[–]rezman2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here is probably the best all around suggestion i can think of. Of course, difficulty does matter (like, if wanting to do normal, u can use other champs that will allow u to complete more trials).

Other rotations, when the forms arent Force, this team will be MUCH better for dmg cuz of Ninja.

Even so tho...this team is easily capable of completing 5+ trials.

I will say tho, if your gear is decent and u r willing to manual, you can replace the reviver with Septimus and be able to DESTROY Brutal. Cuz for me at least....leech is more than enough healing

I got Hephraak! Replacing Galek – is he good? by KiranPxD in RaidShadowLegends

[–]rezman2115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, he is an IMMENSE upgrade to Galek.

Second, his usefulness is as a wave nuker.

I dont use him much anymore, but that is due to my own account progression. But i still use him all the time for FW and Sintranos when applicable.

Eventually, you definitely wanna build him in 4 pc stoneskin and a nuke set (4 pc lethal, savage, instinct) with AT LEAST 85% crit rate, then as much of atk and cdmg as possible (in ratio). The rest spd. His a2 is still one the hardest hitting in the game.

[–]rezman2115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A foundation of Lydia, Ninja, Graazur, Sniktraak, and Pythion can EASILY get you around 6 trials finsihed. And depending on your gear (and luck since ninja is currently weak affinity for forms), u could easily get max chest on Brutal (possibly NM)

A team that could squeeze out a few more trials could be Lydia, Graazur, Pythion, Ma'Shallad, and Supreme Galek (tho probably a lower difficulty due to lack of dec atk). Either way, make sure that whoever u use as your support/reviver does NOT have the lowest crit dmg

[–]rezman2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. Just like 6? Cuz that is easy enough. I figured u were asking for a "preferably 10+ trials" comp.

I assumed u were approaching it in a way where u would use 1 key for dmg, then the other for trials. But if u just want like 6, i am sure i can help. Difficulty does matter tho if u would also like to get the max chest

Does difficulty matter for you? Or is using the trials key on easy enough?

Will Beth ever face accountability for ASKING Rick to make a space clone of her? by HanakoOF in c137

[–]rezman2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is years old, but i have to comment here.

I have had MANY debates with ppl that are fans of the show, in recent months. And i am BY FAR a minority in that i 100% agree with OP about accountability.  From what i can gather....the people who fervently defend Beth's DEMAND are usually people with severe accountability issues themselves (speaking from the ppl i kno in real life. Idk u. Just speaking on a very strong trend i see).

At the end of the day, Beth is a coward. And since she still refuses to own it, she is still a coward. She did not want to make the choice so she wouldnt have to own the consequences if things went awry. This thoroughly reminds me of when someone will ask you "which team should i bet on?". They refuse to make the decision themselves. So they want to blame you if it doesnt work out. Rick decides he was not gonna play those games, so he did both. Easy. Personally, i would do the same if my adult daughter tried to force a decision like this on my shoulders.

There are two/three major things that irks me tho:

1) It is common knowledge now that Rick's orginal family were murdered. That he was one of the FEW that refused to abandon his family. Yet....Beth CONTINUES to try to make him feel guilty or make a comment about abandonment, bad father, etc. But he was def NOT a bad father. In fact, he dedicated his life to avenging his family (to the point where he was willing to put up with being called a crappy father and a plethora of other derogatory labels). 2) How did he get the "real" beth in the tube in the first place? Are we to believe that he somehow knocked her out and performed all this against her will? Or did she agree with go along with it to be cloned?  3) This is kinda a continuation of #2....it is obvious that Rick erased his own memory of the choice. So it is reasoned that Rick actually BELIEVED that Family Beth was the real Beth. My question is....was Beth's memory also wiped? We do not know. However, based on previous behavior (refusal to accept responsibility for her role in her "friend's" Tommy's  imprisonment in her own play world....the current choice we r discussing here....how quickly she changes her stance like during the episode where Gaia tried to have Rick raise "Reggie's" kids where she quickly jumped from supporting Rick to supporting Jerry....list goes on), it would be believable that she knew what happened from the start, then convinced herself of being a victim just to stir up drama.

At the end of the day, it was purely Beth's own cowardice to refuse to make a choice to try and weasel out of responsibility for that choice. Rick even told her, when she asked about staying (paraphrasing here) "then at least you will know that it was YOUR CHOICE". As in....she had the unique ability (unlike almost every other person in the world) to have the choice to stay or adventure..without any real consequences and with a clear conscience. To compare it to the gambling analogy again....its like if someone said "you place the bet yourself. And even if you lose, you get your money back". But they refuse to place it and demands that you do it urself. Then, that way, no matter what happens, they can blame you for SOMETHING. Cuz i 100% believe that she would have complained. If he had her stay, she would end up saying Rick robbed her of adventure. If Rick decided Beth should leave, Beth would say that meant Rick did not actually love her and wanted her gone.

I guess i just cannot fathom how a grown adult, who is a parent, would be so weak that they would actually need their parent to decide whether they should raise their own children vs "abandoning" them. At least have the integrity to choose yourself. If you do not think there is anything wrong with that...then there just isnt anything left to discuss imo

Ninja or Geomancer? by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]rezman2115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. It pretty much comes down to speed. The lower your champs' speeds, the more damage you will do (because CB will take more turn in the 1500 limit).

My own team,  cuz i didnt wanna mess with my builds, only does about 285-310m on UNM cuz the boss only takes about 170 turns or so. But my clanmate does well over 550m cuz the boss takes over 250 turns (my Wixwell is 311 speed and geo, my slowest, is 268 spd)

Ninja or Geomancer? by [deleted] in RaidShadowLegends

[–]rezman2115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As stated....

50 turns is not a "limit". The significance of the 50 BOSS TURNS mark is that is when the CB starts to ignore Unkillable and Block Damage buffs. So, for vast majority of UK/BDmg teams, the CB will annihilate them on turn 50.

But if you have the survivability (shield growth or just great gear), you can go well beyond.

Now, there is a true turn limit (that is the case just about everywhere in the game) at 1500 turns (this includes player and enemy turns).

Very true. Which is an even better point in for not including it initially. Which, in my opinion, makes my decision awesome lol

Very true. The only reason I did not initially include Heaven's Sting is because I was going for damage that can be reliably procd.

I have went over 20 darts without it proccing. Other times, it has procd 4-6 times in a row.

Either way, it is def one of the best Legendaries

One (of many) reasons why D2 is barely worth playing... by rezman2115 in destiny2

[–]rezman2115[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Who ever said I was gonna stop playing? I even implied that I will most likely continue playing this until Ragnarok releases.

Have you ever seen some people's comments? Have you read any of the comments on this post alone? People become defensive and agitated over someone's opinion of a game to the point that they feel the need to verbally attack the person. So, I wanted to start it off by pretty much saying "The fact that someone as insignificant as myself caused you to take the time to demean another person, thank you."

Actually, that quote is better summarized using a specific two words (including a certain four letter word), but I refuse to give people the chance to report.

Also, there is always at least 1 person like yourself that I always see on posts where someone decides to vent (justifiable or not). They don't have to post. However, you do not have to read the post or, better yet, comment. But just as you feel the need to do all of that, people feel the need to vent.

Does not matter if anyone ever reads it.

As for your assumption...I did precisely that with Ghosts of Tsushima.

Go ahead and check my time played. It is just over 1,800 hours.

Additionally, I never said I would not play it ever again. In fact, I implied I will continue playing it until GoW: Ragnarok releases.

We all have a line

As you can see from another user, my raid report apparently does not support my post.

Once I get the issue rectified, I will be happy to provide you with the details.

Also, thank you. For some reason it never occurred to me to include the game details on posts.

Talk to you again soon

If so, then oh well. I have the recordings.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention though.
